Need Help Placing this Guy

But if you quote them the graded or Mon std prices (similar rates),don't quote them vantis or Gerber prices. It blows my mind that GI is cheaper per mo than graded.

Do the math. Giving you your money back is cheaper than giving you 70% in a year.

Good point. But I would assume statistically that many on a GI plan live over 2 yrs anyway. So then they're paying 100% after 2 years just like the graded plan.

But maybe not. I'm sure the actuaries know more about this than I do.

went with Gerber. he really didnt want to go over $50/mo, and seemed very content with the idea of the graded policy. thanks for your help guys:1smile:

Gerber is not graded. It's ROP for 2 years.

on the application it says
"Graded Death Benefit limitation. Our gaurantee to accept all applicants age 50 to 80 is made possible by a Graded Death Benefit limitation. it applies to the first two years of coverage when the policy is issued. if death occures within the first two policy years for any reason other than and acccident all premiums plus 10% interest shall be paid to the beneficiary..."

whatever you call it, he seemed content with the concept when I read that to him.

Just an FYI, some companies call their ROP/Modified plans Graded. SNL is another that does that.

I think colonial penn does that too. Not sure it really matters though. I feel the most important part is that the concept is understood, and the customer knows what he is buying.
