New 2 Minute ACA Express

FYI.. We had most staff go home around 9:00 PM CST or so last night, then around 5 or so came back at approx 2:30 AM CST to check and see if CMS had changed any process for the extended enrollment.

Confirmed that enrollments submitted via ACAExpress are being assigned 01/01/2016 effective dates!

For an application to receive a 01/01/2016 effective date it must be submitted and Completed no later than 12/17/2015 at 11:59 PM PST per CMS.

We have an article in our FAQ, after you are logged in click FAQ at lower left, which outlines things to do/avoid in order to see apps push through as quickly as possible.

Kenny,

the access button isn't working for me. need to make a small change to one. Is this a HC.gov thing or something on your end?

TN Agent it just worked for me right now. It wasn't working for me yesterday though.

I have another question that I haven't found the answer to. What do we do when someone has a different mailing address than their physical? I have two clients who have a PO Box, but ACA won't let you type in a PO Box. Health Sherpa had a button that you could click "I have a different mailing address" and it brought up another field. These clients don't even have a physical mailbox. I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't find the answer. Do I go into their app on hc.gov and do a life change?

Dumped Health Sherpa finally. Pretty irritated that Kenny didn't harass me enough to get me to do it sooner!

I loved HealthSherpa but ACA Express has done nothing but make successful improvements which appear to have been thoroughly tested before implementation.

Keep up the good work!

HC.gov/CMS.. look at the URL where the error occurs and you will see it is healthcare.gov..

Like a few other items it is on our list but one which has a lower priority level. I agree it is something we should have and we will though I believe we made the right decision to assign engineering hours elsewhere.

Alright, I understand that. Yes I'm just glad to have them issued.

So for those cases, do we just need to do what I asked? Go to healthcare.gov and submit a life change and add the mailing address?

Otherwise it's all going to be a mess because this particular client doesn't even have a mailbox and it will get returned to healthcare.gov, etc.

*Edited to add**

I just answered my own question and went into edit the application with a life change to add the mailing address. When doing this, it brings up another question I have for Kenny.

On the option for "Do you want electronic notices?" it was selected "Yes". Some of my clients do not have an email address, and so I am using a client based email address that I have control over because most places require an email address. Does this mean that everyone we sign up with ACAExpress is only going to get communication from healthcare.gov via email? If so, then I need to go in and edit all of those that don't have an email address to receiving paper notices.

Thanks again Kenny. I know you aren't far from me (I'm in NE Texas), and I owe you a bottle of crown royal black!

Not really.. that is for PRO EXPRESS, $150 per month (month to month) with first 75 included at no extra cost, beyond included are $10 each. It is prorated of course if start at date other than first of the month. You can change from Standard (which is what you are on now) which is $12.50 per app to Pro Express at anytime. In your Dashboard click Settings, then the agents name to edit and then Edit at upper right. If you have multiple agents in your 'org' on Pro Express the included apps are 'pooled" amongst them too!

Review ACAExpress

THANKS!

Mr. Taterhead owes me a bottle as well...

I just can't express how nice it is to have everything working smoothly now. I've been in the broker access all morning taking care of things that have been piling up because HS's broker access wasn't working.

I answered my previous question as well. So for others reading this, if you have clients that do not have an email address and you just put one in (even a fake one, or one you established) you will need to go in and report a life change to change the notifications and notices. ACAExpress will default those selections to receive notices online and notifications to healthcare.gov online account. So it's possible those clients wouldn't receive any communication from healthcare.gov. So I've gone in and done a life change for 3 so far. Two to add the mailing address and 1 to change notifications to mail from email.
