New agent...help

Please explain the difference between and FMO and and IMO?

FMO = Field Marketing (or Maintenance) Organization. IMO = Independent Marketing Organization

FMO usually goes with the health side of things (like Med Supps, Med Advantage, CI, DI, etc, and IMO goes more on the Life side. They are really the same thing and are used interchangeably either by lack of knowledge or just lack of caring about the correct terminology.

Bottom line....it doesn't matter...LOL

Since you do both Life and Health, does that make you an IFMO or a FIMO?

How do FMOs make their money?
I was on Ritters website today they are putting agents at a level 4, is that street level?
And I saw the Aetna contract and it pays out at level 8, so Ritter would be getting half of my commission. Is this the norm?
I am not doing that. I held off singing with Ritter due to this. I want to be independent, who can I go thru to get the full commission, level 8 from Aetna?
Im not making a donation to an FMO.
United said I must have a sponsor to sell their products.
Who are you with? Thank you for your help.

United is notoriously low when it comes to life commissions.. You do have to go through one of their GAs... Dynamic Consultants out of Knoxville. TN pays a higher commission than most but you have to assign commissions to them.

Im referring to UHC in Florida.

Question: Im in Florida. What would you focus on if you were me?
What FMO would you use? I want to be an independent.

Thank you in advance. Please educate me.
