New agent...help

I'm confused. You're a registered nurse...why are you selling insurance?
No matter where you are, they're will always bee an excuse on why you can't sell life insurance.

I sell P&C And commercial and LIFE Insurance. I sell old people and young people.

How do you do it? Talk to people face to face....except right now because of the Corona Beer Virus....
The more people you talk to, the better your going to sell. It gives you practice and sales!

You need to know why your selling it. Go to the funeral home. Ask them to give you a presentation of final expenses. Now imagine your sitting there after your spouse or kid has died. Your not thinking be frugal, your thinking you want to give them the best send off, the best memorial you can. That's going to cost you $25k and up. Unless you cremate. Then $3k and up. Now the funeral guy tells you that you don't need to worry about the cost, he will finance you the cost. So now your making payments every month for the next 3-5 years. Each time you make a payment for that funeral, is throwing you back into depression for the loss of your loved one. If you had final expense life insurance on your loved one, you would never have to worry every month. How about those other bills? Your making monthly payments on your house? But your spouse died and now you can't afford the $1800 monthly payment. Now you will need to downsize your lifestyle.

THESE ARE THE THINGS YOU TALK ABOUT WITH PEOPLE. THIS IS HOW TO SELL LIFE.

You get into the door by showing your ❤ your compassion. Not a sales pitch.

I'm confused. You're a registered nurse...why are you selling insurance?

I'm a Disability Examiner for a state government, make as much as a nurse and have better benefits, and sell Medicare insurance...

Granted, it's not my main source of income and I'm not pounding the streets for T65. I can sell to low hanging fruit and work with people the way I want to and if they don't want to work with me, they can pick someone else.

I love financial services and personal finance. Medicare can be really confusing to people.
I do it because I get personal satisfaction from my marketing process and helping people. The money is just a nice addition.

Just saying that there are personal reasons why people work in insurance when they have a really good job.

Maybe op can't handle the physical or emotional demands of being a staff nurse.

Weekends, all day, were devoted exclusively to recruiting.
The reason for that is simple. Fresh recruits who have fallen for an MLM opportunity pitch are eager to prove their loyalty and willingness to follow "the winning system", which inevitably leads to becoming a product of the product. They are encouraged that "test driving" their own products (ie; buying a policy or investment themselves) is a key component of future success. This process is made easier because all new recruits receive a "complimentary" FNA. This makes fresh recruits the easiest sale of all. Internal consumption is the hallmark of the MLM industry.
