New agent...help

United is notoriously low when it comes to life commissions.. You do have to go through one of their GAs... Dynamic Consultants out of Knoxville. TN pays a higher commission than most but you have to assign commissions to them.
Im referring to UHC, Im in Florida. Its all elderly people around me. So Not looking at selling Life.

I have heard of WFG, NAA, Family life, Alliance insurance group but I am not sure which one to with as all of them have negative reviews

Hi Bella,

You are looking at some multilevel marketing.

At one time, before I was licensed, I was recruited by World Financial Group. I went to their meetings, did some training… I visited with two different WFG groups. Really nice people. Here is the thing. It is all about recruiting. Over the course of about 6 weeks I never saw a policy written. Weekends, all day, were devoted exclusively to recruiting. So Mary would recruit Tom and 9 other people. Tom would recruit Joe and 9 other people and so on. The theory was to take a cut of the policies everyone on their downline was writing. The problem was, I never saw a policy written. Only knew one person who went on a sales call, and he only did it one time that I was aware of. For this reason I never joined the organization.

Your success is going to depend directly on your up line to a large degree. Doesn't matter if you are involved with multilevel marketing "MLM" or not. Training and learning the game is important. If you can find someone who is really going to train you well MLM can work. The key, MLM or not, is actually look at what your up line is producing. Not what they are saying. Look at the actual numbers. How many policies written within a given time period. $$ sold, expenses and so on. Make sure they are local so you can get help when needed. If you cannot see the numbers, poor production… Walk away. Initially you are going to be more dependent on your immediate up line and the training than the actual organization itself.

Since you are looking at some MLM, here is an good thread on MLM that may help you out:

Thank you so much. Who are you with and who do you recommend? I was with healthmarkets, never got paid so I left. I sold under 65 health United policies, UHC paid them but I could not get paid from HM. It was a nightmare. TY

Right now I cannot make a recommendation based on personal experience. I would not recommend my current IMO. And because I cannot recommend them, I don't want to mention their name. When I leave I want it to be on good terms.

Who's your current IMO? :err:

So other agents can learn from your negative experience.

I have no desire to speak negatively about my IMO or anyone else for that matter. My IMO is not all bad doing a lot of things right. Besides, it has already been vetted on the forum.
