New agent with Final Expense questions

I am not trying to be rude but how fiscally irresponsible do you have to be to not own a checkbook?I had one and my parents taught me how to write checks and balance an account as a child.

How can I get someone a policy when I can not do a bank draft, or have them be able to pay by check?

That's your market. There are other FMO's where you can sell what you want to(Med Supps/MA). If you're an Independent Agent, YOU tell them what you'll be selling.

Were the drugs any good?

I don't know I didn't sample, maybe my new way to get a policy sold should be to say I will buy a 10 rock if you sign up today. This wouldn't violate the commissioner's rules on rebating would it?

Final expense in the insurance industry, is basically the payday loans of the banking industry.

I have an appointment with senior life.To say I am not impressed is an understatement. To say that it seems like "multi livel marketing" wrapped up into an insurance company that cosistantly comes out more expensive than the competition where the senior life MGA above me isn't even in my state, would be more accurate.

Why are you still there?

Because I do not own the agency so I can't make decisions. They do have that legacy assurance to save on casket, vault, headstone and its a locked in price. I dont know that it justifies the premiums. The agency is getting its feet wet. They simply did not have much experience in the final expense market.

Which is why I am curious who the best providers are and not solely off of comissions, but primarally in the least cost to the consumer
