New Royal Neighbors Rates

dang.. you jumped on this quickly.

I updated my rant, to be more clear. I should have reviewed it before hitting SEND....LOL

Farm Bureau of IN is not the same as Farm Bureau of KY.

Still farm Bureau and UHL is Farm Bureau. I give my reasons for not writing them. You can have your's for writing them.

You don't my permission to write them and I don't need anyone's to not write them.

I am noticing UHL coming up quite often as lowest to near lowest on rates. What is the difference of Provider preferred and then Express Issue Premier? :skeptical:

Provider is still a simple issue product, (like a simple issue Non-Med) but more in depth on the questions of the app and a separate app. Very similar to Lafayette's FE product that has more in depth questions and longer periods (past 2 years, for most conditions). Provider may also do an APS depending on the face and age. Not quite fully underwritten

Express Issue Premier is simpler issue (if that is a proper term to describe it) and on a sliding app for most States (premier, Deluxe for immediate face, Express Issue for Graded and the Guarantee Issue) all on same app, similar to Americo.

Most agents confuse SI as FE, it is not. FE is not a product, but a marketing term like Mortgage Protection. It is Life insurance that defines itself in each state with the application and underwriting.

Some SI product is just easier Underwriting, EX: Standard Rate for risks that would normally be a Table 4 rating. This has been linked as FE, but in fact has been around for 30+ years and not just the past 10 years. FE only became a big thing after Mortgage Protection died in 2007-2008

Premier has more tables built into it. Provider is for the clients that dont have any health issues...

The rates are not that far apart on the Provider Standard and maybe a couple of bucks more than the Preferred. If you have any 'yes' answers on the Provider then you can bet it's a turn-down. This is what I was told by an underwriter. As a stand alone plan there is no reason to use the Provider in favor of RNA's Essential Life. The only reason to use the Provider is if you need a CTR for a family on a tight budget. If they can't qualify for the Provider and you need a CTR go with Settlers.

Now the UHL Provider (10k min) does face amounts below $25k where RNA Essential Life does not. Also the RNA Essential Life has tighter underwriting than that of the Provider. You may get a table 2-3 rating with RNA where you may get Provider Standard Rates in some instances and the UHL plan would be a better option. You really have to know your underwriting though to make this small distinction as to whether to go with RNA Essential Life or UHL Provider on 25K+ cases.

Meh, I don't like too many applications and wondering which application to use..I guess I see a need for the best select rate under 25k face if they are squeaky clean healthy wise and rate is a big factor. (replacing).

Thanks for everyone's responses. If I do pick up UHL, it will be for the provider preferred select product under 25k face.

Actually, for ages 0-17 the rates per thousand beat RNA for every age.
