Good point. When I was growing up we spent a lot of time on the river. We could catch more lunch with less work with a few Crawdads. More time for the rope swing and other cool river time stuff.

There was a small creek near my grandparents when I was a kid. My brothers and I would catch a bucketful of crawdads, then take them to my grandpa's farm and fish in his pond. The catfish loved them.
