Yes I am using m&m script mostly. I memorized it so I don't have to read it, I just never say it exactly the same. I have tried with the interrupt and with out, but not enough data to say what is working the best. I think I am moving forward at a better pace.

BTW, if you don't have a strategy to transition from door-to-door to becoming referral based... you'll grow tired of this method of prospecting. You need to know that there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm starting to grow tired of this method of prospecting! I would like to know more about implementing a strategy for transitioning to becoming referral based!

BTW, the ones that do you let you in, give you a glass a water, etc.....even if you can't help them, those are the best ones to ask, "who do you know that I may be able to help?" I got two referrals yesterday!

Still that not the best referral, the best ones are when they call you! That's what I dream about! The day I need to hire someone to answer the phones!

The way I look at it, is that first I need a large enough book to get referrals. I have a website and have bought leads, both of those did ok but now are very slow. I cant just sit at my desk waiting for the phone and pay my bills so I cold call. I do get a referral now and then but not enough to sustain the business. I can't see just buying health and med supp leads, with the minimal capital I have I would be out of business very fast. So I pay with time.

I am going to be frank.

Bro what's the point of a script if you are not going follow it. Read the script the same every single time the exact same way. Why are you still testing the waters changing a little here and a little there. You have a script that is tested and tried and will work as long as you follow it and dial like a banshee. If you change it every now and again the law of averages can't and won't be in your favor.

"Trust me" I run a call center and can without out doubt tell you that you will fail if you don't stick to the same thing/script over and over and over. If you worked for me and changed things as you see fit you would be fired.

Lastly good job on calling now keep it simple.

+1
Additionally, one of the biggest mistakes I see agents and cold callers make is this. As soon as they hit a dry patch, they immediately think it's the script and it needs changing. It is NOT the script, it's a dry patch, they happen. I have watched people make this mistake after weeks/months of success and then days of a dry spell.

You said a bit back that you are a great script writer. How did you get that way? Why do you read books and posts if what you are doing is making you a ton of money?
It's because you are constantly trying to improve. It is a lean manufacturing concept but you use it know it or not.
There are a least 5 different scripts from 5 different people, which one will work the best up here in the north woods? I appreciate all the input and advice. I am trying moon's script and it is doing well. I don't change it when things are going bad I just don't repeat it verbatim every time. Give me a month or two and then I will let you know where I stand. I am willing to bet your call center wasn't built in a day and you have implemented changes along the way.
