What do agents on the ground think is the best solution to keeping healthcare costs from imploding our economy?
My commissions have been cut, my renewal accounts decimated over the years. Still have to try to help johnny and mary q public so ya sign them up for crappier coverage that costs more and more!

Your right, most politicians answer to a citizens problem is let the gov do it for you, instead of putting you in a position to do it yourself. Its an easy short term solution that is well received by the masses, so it gets them votes to stay in office another term.

Our country will be handed back to the citizens again when we no longer allow "career politicians" to stay in office.
Campaign finance reform, term limits, transparency, & more citizens giving a sh#t, is the start to getting our country back (from both parties!)

1.) No "free care" to illegal aliens
2.) Clamp down on doctor fraud
3.) Stop the never-ending frivolous lawsuits

Simple, control what doctors and providers can charge. The out of control premiums are a result of medical cost exploding.

insurance companies are nothing more than payment banks. they pay out bills that come in. reduce the amount of the bills and u reduce the monthly premiums of health insurance.

create a high risk pool with very strong guidelins of who gets in and due to the high claims experience the plan will have it will need to get additional funding in addition to premium dollars. use both federal dollars AND attach a % subsidy from each insurance carrier based on the % of business they control in the market. example: if Aetna does 2% of the business nationwide they pay 2% of the allocated subsidy dollars. The feds can pay half of the subsidy, so Aetna would end up at 1% of the loss ratio.

This would work, and for a whole lot cheaper than the plan they WERE shoving down our throats

Of course the dems better be sure that they still have a majority after the next election. Otherwise that nuclear thing is going to work both ways. BIGTIME! And they will have lost their bitching rights. And to rub salt in their wounds they may lose their majority for using it and then the repubs will use it on them. Maybe it is a good thing. Go for it.

Eveybody is blaming health insurance for the high rates, but what is driving those rates? My last doctor visit I talked to the doctor for less than 3 minutes and they did a blood test. Total bill..... $450.00. If the president and congress really wanted to reduce cost they would do a cost analysis and then formulate a plan to reduce the elements that were causing the high cost.

Where's the MBA's when Washington needs them? Now let's see........ George Bush was an MBA.........
