Sorry for the math confusion. The 8 homes where I left notes, 4 called me back, 2 not interested 2 asked for me to call back next week.

JD, they are from reply cards. I am trying to follow your advice of not presenting to those not interested, but I hate to burn a lead, I need to get used to that. I think I am rushing it when I get an answer to why they sent it in, going straight to the presentation insted of relaxing and doing a warm up.

It was a good day, I will take 2 apps per day anytime, (one to surrive, two or more to thrive!) Time to get back out there and do it.

Awesome, you're an inspiration to us newbies....that was a great day, do it again today man!! Im going to be doorknocking soon myself!

If you do come along Veterans, and wish to enlighten them about what they are entitled to, print off this webpage and show them, in fact, print out a copy of the form and give it to them, tell them that this will only cover a portion of costs, not to mention income replacement if they have a spouse.

Thanks for the link, I need a new copy as I gave my Veteran my only copy, but he is conviniced he will get $3 k... I will give him a call Monday to see if he found out differently! Probably not but worth a phone call..

Well, had my 1st 1/2 day in the FE business, didnt go as well as 'sellingdog'! I only went to 6 of my EFES leads cause they still haven't received letter reminding them they filled out card, so I didnt wanna burn too many. But nevertheless I door knocked ea 1....

2 Moved
1 Not Int-had savings (I didnt waste time either)
2 No one home
1 Wife, but no husband home, told her I'd come back

Monday, I hope to be my 1st FULL day of calling & door knocking...may even do some tomorrow!!

Yes, these leads are old...I knew that going in, I bought them cheap to get started with EFES! Im not on the 'fresh leads a week' system yet, just working these, hope to crack a few deals & get fresher leads soon....getting my feet wet for now!!

All are at least 90days old....up to 12mos!! Im betting I still sell a few!

Leads 6 mos.-12 mos. old should be free. Sounds like your upline is making $ off you from both ends as those leads were paid for already by another agent when they were 1st generated and fresh (6-12 mos. ago).

TD I think you did great! You successfully avoided A mistake I made on my first day. I had a women home w/o her husband, her son (very young) convinced me to go in because mom makes all the decisions, so I did and when husband came home lets just say he didn't appreciate me being in his house.....

As for old leads, they are a good way to get started, especially to get over your initial anxiety of DK, and if you listen to Alan Benedict on youtube, old leads have a unlimited shelf life unless they have moved or dead. Keep it up, as Reardon said, knock on every door until you get a yes or no, it is the law of large numbers.

As for old leads costing some $, most IMO want you to have some "skin in the game" so you are invested and actually work the leads. IMHO
