Obama's Speech

I love to see you guys whining, and moaning, and bitching in the morning. It sounds like.... victory!

:D

It is "victory" just like the libs in California (Arnold included) have had unrestrained victory for the last decade. You certainly frigged that up bigtime now you want to create a Worker's Paradise and Californicate the rest of the country. And yes I understand that the other states are in trouble too. The difference is that California was headed down the tube long before this crisis picked up speed.

I expect California to be using porkulus funds to create the Huey Newton Museum before long.

Free stuff is good.

He can say anything he likes, the fact is that it is all rhetoric.

Based on the effectiveness of the $700 BILLION bank bailout, what five months ago, what would give anyone confidence that these nitwits in DC (including Obama) have any idea what they're doing?

This country is in big, big trouble.

2nd U.S. soldier in Iraq challenges eligibility

The military, retired military and retired senior intel community are starting to get very concerned and to take action.

Also don't expect doctors or drug companies to take this lying down. American docs have already said Obama's plan is to flood the country with foreign docs many from Islamic countries and pay them peanuts. If people think American docs are going to let this marxist wreck their livelihood then be prepared to be shocked.

Keep gloating. You voted for Bush twice so I guess you also can claim victory for the past 8 years. You change your allegiance about as often as you change occupations.

As for me, I didn't support either the democratic gasbag nor the republican maverick.

It's amazing to me how many people actually have faith in our elected leaders. The two 'nitwits' I call my Senators aren't qualified to determine where stoplights should go in my hometown. Am I really supposed to look for them for leadership in this crisis?

"Spending cuts"

Pretty much like my wife buying a fur coat for $50,000 and telling me she is going to start some spending cuts to make up for it.

As for a trillion, I have my own theory on that. I think this has gotten so far out of hand because nobody understands a trillion. Maybe some politicians do, but they are counting on what they see as dumb-ass voters not catching on.

I looked into ways to explain a trillion for a book I was writing. We know from the Treasury that our currency is .043 inches thick. So, a million dollars in $100 bills stacked tightly on top of each other is roughly 3.5 feet high --up to your waist. Fits in a backpack. Easy to understand. I have to laugh when I see movies where they pack $10 million in a briefcase.

So, if $1 million is 3.5 feet high, how high is a stack of $100 bills stacked $1 trillion high?

The answer is 678 miles.

If you didn't know before, now you have some idea of how screwed we are. Next question: how high is the stack if you add current national debt of about $11 trillion PLUS the US obligation for SS, Medicare and Medicaid of about $60 trillion?

For the debt clock and a look at a book I was writing about the next Depression go here: CRASH 2 - Surviving the next Great Depression --it is in limbo now because everything I have in the book is happening 3 years faster than it was supposed to. After all, who would have bought a book predicting the Great Depression that came out in 1930? :twitchy:

Not to belabor this point but how many freezers would it take for a democrat to hide a trillion dollars?
