Online FE Leads!

Is it just me, or do others in the FE market find it hard to believe u can find good, quality leads online for our demographic?? Our demo ISN'T online, so how are they filling out forms saying they want to meet with an agent? I contacted a few lead Co. awhile back just to get a sense of what other leads were available & now Im being contacted by several others.

One (and I cant say Im not tempted) offered the 1st 10 leads free & I could stop it after that....but Im still leary and others here have posted a bunch of negative things about them. Another said the 1st payment had to be mailed by M.O or Cash Chk & after that could be paid by CC. I laughed, I know that trick....u cant dispute the charge if its not on a CC, and they know ppl will want their $$ back.

So, Im asking....does anyone know anyone who can get consistent quality FE leads online?? Mailers & Tele leads can work, but seniors arent online for the most part asking for insurance quotes....am I wrong??

Take the free 10 leads and see how they are. If on line FE leads were a good commodity, there would be dozens of companies selling them.

Ive been tempted JD, but they have to have a $100 deposit, not that that's a problem....but Im scared they will act "stupid" and I'll have a hard time getting it back or they'll say they sent me more then 10 or whateva games they play!!

I think you would be better off spending the $100 at a strip club...at least you would get something out of it...

Well the thinking was, try the 10 leads & stop til I have time to work them....if no good, close acct & get $$ back, if good, continue. He said u get the 10 free leads 1st & then they use your deposit if u continue....but how can u trust a lead company once they have ya $$??

Depends on the refund policy of the lead co, mainly.
Also, depending upon how many leads you are capped at per day, if any cap, and how wide an area you are working, will determine if you can stop the lead flow if you aren't happy with the results... meaning it is kind of like water flowing thru a pipeline... you've got to catch it before it comes out of the spout.

Which lead company are your considering.? Others may have some experiences with them.

PS. And while Matt's suggestion might be more fun than actually working online leads, it will not be as profitable if you know how to work the online leads. Also, you are likely to catch less communicable diseases from your telephone, even though it will contain millions of germs.

If you can't afford to part with $100 with no hope of return, you can't afford leads.

There is no guarantee you'll turn any leads into sales.

That said, based on how the typical FE buyer is described, I can't see them shopping for insurance online.

What some FE agents do is that they'll order regular aged life insurance leads of people who went online to get a term insurance quote, etc. (for leads that are 3 to 90 day old or even ones over 90 days old because they're cheaper) with an age range of 50 to 80 years old, 55 to 75 years old, etc.

I think VolAgent hit on it here... Frankly, if you can't afford the 100 bucks, and in fact it is really more like 1K bucks for leads, then you probably can't afford this route. The truth is for those who do not have a marketing budget for leads, they need to be working for an agency that provides leads. Yes, yes, you will take a haircut on commissions by doing this but it is better than starving to death. You will live to fight another day going the indy route. Also, you may even learn somethings by being affiliated with an agency too.

I never said I couldnt afford it, IN-FACT I said it wasn't a problem....what Im not willing to do is get ripped off for $100, there's a huge difference!!
