Tom our pet turkey hasn't been feeling well lately. The vet mentioned to us that its not very likely that he will make it through Thanksgiving. This has impacted our family quite hard and we are bracing for the worst.
Our state is in lock down and my wife and I have discussed how we are going to approach the situation if Tom where to pass during this time. One major concern is that our family and friends have an opportunity to find closer and celebrate his life. We have decided to have a gathering at our home and allow those who knew him best to attend a memorial service.
To celebrate his life and the memories so fondly cherished, it is our desire to allow those who attend to bring a dish to share during the memorial service. We know that family have been greatly restricted around the country due to concerns of the virus, however; during this time of loss, we are glad that our state has allowed folks to gather in large groups for memorial services and celebrate the passing of loved ones.
We are very aware there are many of you on the forum who know and love Tom, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this time.
