Out of Line

Gotta ask. Ryan, are you Irish?

Actually, Rick wanted me to ask. I don't care one way or the other.

I have to wonder if the lefties have finally jumped the shark on this one. They have used the "racism" card as methods of intimidation and shutting down opposing speech for so long that the word has (tragically) become diluted. I also wonder...

... The Blue Dog Democrats are standing up to Obama on health care, his signature agenda item from the campaign. I'm trying to find where the left have called them racists too, but gosh, I just can't find anything on that...

... I guess that if Kerry or Gore were pushing this bloated, wasteful bill, everyone from the GOP would be lining up to support it, because, you know, Kerry and Gore are white...

... I am very hopeful that the Democrats will provide a list of words and phrases that we are "allowed" to use if we decide we want to criticize Obama, like they did in Congress after the Wilson issue. While they're at it, they could include a list of "acceptable" voice inflections and facial expressions so that no one has to try to live down the "R" label. Perhaps they could put this information on a website...

... Obama's approval ratings have dropped nearly 20% over the last 8 months. Good gawd, that means 20% of Americans have become racists in the last 8 months alone! That means in another couple of years, 100% of Americans will be racists! After that, I guess we'll have DOUBLE racists, because we'll be over 100%! Terrifying.

Al, I take offense to that. I agree, we do have some spots that are backwards, but if you take a line from the top left to the bottom of the state, everything to the right is normal. The rest we dont' claim.

Look where Wilson comes from, look at his voting record and look at his past public statements. Not absurd to me at all. South Carolina is the new "Alabama of 1958." No one with any intelligence and in their right mind would want to live there.

Hey, don't stereotype the guy just because he lives in the families 200yr old plantation house. Cmon now!:1biggrin:

There's great golfing to be had in SC, but that's about it. I call SC the 'armpit' of the United States and New Jersey the 'a--hole'.

Just saw a study saying that Greenville, SC was one of the top 10 (I think 7th) places to retire.
