People Don't Buy Life Insurance in December

I take very little vacation time except for in December. I take several days off during that month but not usually ever a full week. I don't take off because I think nobody will buy. I take off because I can! Those Decembers where I worked without much time off have usually been decent months for me.

I have taken off almost the whole month this year.. The last week, because it has turned cold! Old bones and joints tend to freeze up!

I hear ya! I can remember as a young man spending 2 hours canvassing a neighborhood while it was about 20 degrees with freezing drizzle. That was true COLD CANVASSING!! I'm working today, but we're in the low 30's, so I ain't knockin' on nobody's door if I ain't gotta!

Looks like someone forgot to tell Agent5 Guy that people don't buy insurance during he month of December. He is on top of NSL's production list for the week of December 18-22: Douglas M $10,277.. Just curious Doug, did you put anything with other companies during this week? Congrats on a great week!

December has been by far been my WORST month ever. Upline set false expectations with me for sure. lol. I will plan better next year and take the month of December off work. I sold some polices, but nothing like I've done in previous months. Also received the most cancelations/ lapses in the month of December. A real buzzkill. lol . Overall, a great year tho. Not trying to be greedy!

Don't be discouraged, December is notoriously the hardest month of all and I speak from 12 years of experience. People out of town for holidays or money is already spent or call me after the new year type of excuses. The good news is January is one of the best months of all

I don't know about now but years ago, December was always one of the best months for life insurance sales. People were accustomed to spending money and they were thinking about their families.. When I worked the debit, I always had a good month in December... I don't now but that is because I don't push it in December.. You can sell it if you aren't seeing 'em..

Funny how you have different results for different people... Back in the days when December was one of my best months, January was always a downer.. Didn't really pick back up until mid March.. My dislike for cold weather probably had something to do with it.

"I'm out of town" "call me in January" "money is short during the holidays"... and I'm thinking 'why did you send in the damn request?! . lol. Push a little and then it is cancelled. Not wasting my time in December anymore. .

By "push it", I did not mean taking a hammer to them in the close.. I meant I did not push myself to get out and call on people.
