Pioneer American

I was approached recently about writing business with an IMO that uses Pioneer American as their primary carrier. I don't know anything about them and can't seem to find much either. Has anyone had any experience with them?

They are AmAm, Occidental, Pioneer Security and IA American Life. All based in Waco, Tx.

I have written several policies with Pioneer. They have a good ROP program and will monthly bill for no bank customers...if you decide to work with those. Home office has been easy to work with....apps never seem to get hung up, etc.

Down side...pricing. Seem to be on average $6 to $7 higher that my other carriers but have used them when business couldn't be placed with other carriers.

Wrote a few with Pioneer when in South Carolina good niche product especially for customers without a bank account.

I've used pioneer quite a bit. Very easy apps and you can get someone on the phone very quickly if you call in with a question.
