POS Approvals

With RNA is there a scenario that has to be in place for a POS or is it agent's choice? Without POS how hast is approval?

I've had ones where I didn't do the POS get issued before the ones with a POS interview. I'm talking about ones written on the same day.

But usually the one done with a POS will be issued quicker. If you do the POS and it's approved at the end of the call and you fax the app to RNA that day the deposit will hit your bank account in 2 or 3 days. It will probably be on your commission report the next day after faxing it. You get paid the following day for anything on your commission report today.

That's not the case. I do the RNA POS about half the time. That change was made last August. Since August RNA has only done the phone interview on one client where I didn't do the POS.

Not every IMO has that deal with RNA but mine does.

Yes you are. The deal is specific to IMO's and I know you are with the same one as I am. it may be manager specific with EFES? I don't know about that. Our group within EFES does more RNA business than the others and I know my manager is good with it.

JD is correct, RNA has a test group in which they are making the PHI optional so they can test the long term value of requiring the PHI. That said, unless you're working with his group there is about a 99% chance that you need to do a PHI.

That must be a special deal you have with EFES. I was never sent a a letter or notified of such changes.

It's actually pretty hard to beat the RNA interview, don't see a real advantage to not doing it. It's kind of handy if they took an Rx previously that creates a problem, at least you know while you're in the home.

I hate their interview. I think it's the worst one to do. But I still do them if I have time. Most of the time I don't have time to do them. I always try to make time if it's a replacement so we can go ahead and stop the draft on the replaced company while I'm there.

The quickest and easiest is AmCon's for me. There are times that I do like to do a phone interview. I had a case yesterday for a guy that was a smoker and Americo and AmCon were the best deals for him. AmCon was 40 cents a month more and I make 25 points less on AmCon but the guy had been declined by a couple of mail houses and as worried about getting approved. I told we could get an answer now but it was slightly more per month. He wanted to know so we did AmCon.

I also wanted the interview as a CYA thing since he had some declines. So they have a purpose. I still prefer the way RNA and 5 Star m akes it an option.

And you weren't supposed to tell anybody. :nah::laugh:

I don't think it's a secret. RNA has over 1000 agents under contract and it's available to all of them. Be kinda hard to keep that a secret even if they wanted to.

JD...you and I agree on a lot but I think you're nuts on the RNA interview being the worst one you do. It's your opinion but to me it beats AmCon hands down every day of the week in terms of overall speed and the fact that RNA asks the entire question at once instead of breaking each question down into 5-10 separate no answers.

On the RNA thing not being a secret, I'm kind of with Hoosier, the idea that RNA does not require you to complete and interview AND that they will not call the client to do their own interview is not something that is available to all agents. If most any other agent sends in an app without a POS PHI being done RNA will call and do the PHI on their own every single time.

I hate the way RNA asks for meds. I hate that they don't ask for your number in the case of a disconnect. I time all phone interviews and RNA's averages 10 minutes. The AmCon averages 5 minutes. I also call into to them on a different line than other have to use. They ask the questions all at once the way RNA does. I have had to call the line that everyone else uses sometimes so I know what you are talking about.

RNA is really a bear on a couple though. You have to do two complete interviews. AmCon allows you to save all the info from the first one so you can do a husband and wife in the same amount of time it takes to do one person with RNA.

As for not having to do the RNA POS and keep it from being done there is special wording that I have to write on the 1st page. If I forget to put that on there then they will call them.
