Post-Corona, Preparing for Normalcy

Are you referring to me Lefty?

Who dis? On block.

No, sometimes I have to take a small break from Vic, not that he's a jerk... But his rhetoric can become just too much of a reach. However, it rarely lasts more than an hour or so because I genuinely think he's a great guy and a wealth of knowledge... I just need a break.

I haven't but you on block in quite awhile because I just chuckle and acknowledge that's just G being G.

In the immortal words of OAN's Graham Ledger:

"Even when I'm wrong (which is almost hourly), I'm Right" ;)[/QUOTE]

Vic saves me a lot of typing, because on most things, we think alike..especially politically.:laugh:

Around a third of participants in a Massachusetts study tested positive for coronavirus, according to researchers.

The Mass. General study took samples from 200 residents on the street in Chelsea, MA. Participants remained anonymous and provided a drop of blood to researchers, who were able to produce a result in ten minutes with a rapid test.
One third of participants in Massachusetts study tested positive for coronavirus

This article calls it sobering

I also saw another that said study shows infection rate could be 85% higher than known

I am still very concerned it's hard not to be, however, I do wonder if true these studies, The death rate would be much much lower then thought

Possibly the high infection rate could be because it's new and new to everyone's system

Maybe after the initial stage it will die down to the level of the reg flu, I mean if all the political opportunist let it

This is just a thought, I am not saying I believe that to be true 100% just that its a possibility, I am still concerned and protect my family

I just read an interesting op-ed piece that cited a recent study from a prominent Israeli professor whose team tracked the progression of the corona virus country by country. His conclusion was that no matter whether a country has had an extreme lockdown response like Israel, or a very relaxed response like Sweden, it hasn't made any difference on the timeline of progression. Therefore, in his opinion, shutting down the economy may have been an overreaction. (He still supports measures like social distancing, limiting mass gatherings, vigilant personal hygiene, etc.).

Recognizing that the article I was reading had a spin to the right, I hunted down the original article from Israel National News:
Could coronavirus crisis be over in 2 weeks? - Technology & Health

They've had over 300 in the last two days.

Their time is coming too.

Not saying its better or worse

Just saying think it spreads the same with or without, I think it's airborne There have been cases, Where person got infected when they never left the house, There has been a case where someone in the remote village got it they don't know how

Think it's going to spread no matter what happens

Yes, their time is coming. We're smack in the middle of our time here in Texas, but Cali seems to be on the back end now, right? In the article I posted above, the professor indicates that the studies show the same impact whether a country (or in this case a state) shuts down or not. What do you think about that?

This shut down has convinced me of one thing: Retirement is waiting to die. I now understand why life insurance agents like Mehdi Fakharzadeh who do not retire live long lives. He was still selling 'til the day his life was cut short at the age of 97.

If I don't knock a door soon ...

And for anyone who thinks folks won't relax and return to normal human interaction when this is over ...

I have faith that human nature will not be so easily defeated.
