You need to contact a local agent and tax professional. Not doing so as I mentioned before could cost you dearly.

A $6,000 deductible plan still might be both affordable and adequate according to the standards that were written in the law.

Claim whatever you want. Claim Mickey Mouse too, and your dog. It's fraud, but do whatever pleases you. The law defines "household", and it does not include a fiance. It includes you and those dependents that are on your Federal Form 1040 tax return. If you claim too many people or too little income, and you receive more of a tax credit (subsidy) than you are qualified for, the IRS will take a clawback out of your refund, or else go after you for money.

Recommendation: Get an agent in your area and/or discuss this with your tax advisor.
