Primer on Bill

But the fines could turn into a big headache for many employers, particularly since they may not be able to tell if their workers are getting benefits from the government. For example, a company with 100 employees that fails to provide coverage could face a fine of $140,000 under the plan Obama unveiled Feb. 22. Getting the bill from the IRS would become a dreaded moment for business owners.

There are some days I hope this thing passes just to teach a lesson to those who voted for this guy. When, not if, the provisions of the bill come to light watch for a major revolt.

There are two things certain in this legislation. Health insurance premiums will rise significantly and it will be a jobs killer.

Health Insurance Exchange is not good news. I know EHealth is not a major problem for most of us, but this might be.

I guess a lot (an incredible amount) will have to do with how search engines treat the Govt. Exchange.

As an example...Let's say your at or near the top of Page 1 for "Missouri Health Insurance," "Missouri Health Insurance Quote," etc... Will the exchanges have an internet presence and if so...will they move to the top?

Also...when someone searches "Missouri Health Insurance Exchange,"...will the .gov site again be at the top?

Admittedly, I have not read it through so I have not kept up with what today's secret provisions of the bill are but I did think that the move toward risk pools was a plus.

If you read the section under Insurance Companies, it says "A fixed percentage of income from Premiums would have to go to medical care, otherwise insurers would be forced to provide rebates to consumers. That share is 85 percent for large group plans, and 80 percent for plans in the small group and individual markets." If this is the case then where is the money to pay the agents??? All comments appreciated.

It's there...but instead of 20%-25%...perhaps 5%-8%.

Keep dreaming.

And not for profits such as Blues will be forced to run OVER 80% CLR (claims loss ratio) in order to receive their tax preferred status.

Remember in order to pass this piece of junk, the house must agree to ALL provisions "as is" in the Senate bill. They are now bribing and making promises to modify to scrape votes.

This is the dirtiest I have ever seen Washington - back room bribes which would be illegal in the private sector.
