Private Flood Insurance - SINCE WHEN?

We started when NFIP started the ridiculous rate increases and the requirements for elevation certs a year or so ago. Scheduled training sessions with area realtors to show them how we could save some sales for them. Now they all call us first for flood insurance.

They also sell private policies based off the property etc.

I've never had a flood claim, NFIP or private. I can't compare one to the other from a claims perspective.

1 claim in 28 years and NFIP was sucky at handling it. Can't imagine Lloyds could be any worse.

I've seen a bunch of flood claims. They're never handled timely through NFIP but people DO ultimately get paid.

I am working on a flood policy right now for a customer in PA and her lender refuses to accept the policy from CAT. The bank is PHFA Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, there legal team is trying to pick apart the policy and try to say its not accepted.
