Private Flood Insurance - SINCE WHEN?

I sent this guy all the info showing they have to accept it and he sends me back: The risk of noncompliance with the NFIP is on the lender, and in the uncertainty before the prudential regulators issue regulations PHFA could end up accepting policies that do not align with the regulations as finally implemented. No one know what those regulations will say until they are finalized, so an incredibly conservative approach is warranted.

Call the guys at privatefloodmarket.com and send that email to them.

I will. I have sent this guy everything, he must be a new student out of college and trying to show someone his job is worthy. Thanks for the feedback. I will let you know if I get anywhere.

speaking of flood claims, did anyone else catch tonight's episode on 60 minutes regarding hurricane Sandy victims getting screwed?

Geez! heads are going to roll and someone (if not many) will be sent to prison before it's over with.

175 doctored claims. people who were unlicensed engineers completely falsified the engineer's reports (e.g. saying there was no structure damage when in fact there was).

Thanks south! Have you found the exact wording on this law? I'm guessing that it's easier to find than I'm making it.

Yep- I have seen it. Don't stress about it unless there is an issue & then the carrier can help you. Who is are you looking at using?
