Hey guys,

I just got 20 DM leads from an IMO that uses Forethought as their main carrier. I'm now hearing Negative info about their underwriting from a couple of different sources however, I have no choice but to use the leads to sell Forethought unless the client has no bank account and then I am to use Liberty Bankers...

Anyone with any recent experience with Forethought? Any suggestions on dealing with them??? Or even Liberty Bankers?

Thanks always and Happy New Year everyone!!!:)

Love 'em.

They'd be perfectly balanced and my go-to final expense carrier if the underwriting on both health and prescription history wasn't more stringent than the average carrier.

Pitching burial insurance with grand- and great-grand coverage included, along with additional accidental death benefit coverage up to 70, all at a competitive price, is really cool.

If you received the leads with the understanding that Forethought gets first shot, then do what you agreed to do. If for some reason Forethought declined them due to underwriting you can always go back and write them with another company.

Just to clarify that is a GIGANTIC "if". Their UW is ridiculous. I can't imagine why anyone would use them as a core carrier for FE.

Me either. I was just termed by them for no production. I never could see a reason to use them.

I just had them grade someone on the apptical interview for taking paxil. No pshychiatric treatment, prescribed by pcp for anxiety.

They are ridiculous! The extra benefits are nice, and they are chewer friendly, but their UW is borderline retarded.

I try hard to like them. But their declines and rate ups are bad and usually over med history. Then you have to UN-pitch their extra benefits.

I didn't think the rider covered great grand children. I thought the company told me this but maybe it was a marketer...

they suck.......their TPA for underwriting for medsupps is AWFUL. I have called on 2 cases and been told things that are simply not true
