Several states have extended expiration dates for licenses that are expiring. Here’s the information Team Cigna has on this as of April 6, 2020.
Maryland: All licensees with expiration dates of 3/31/2020 who have not renewed will be assigned an extended expiration date of 6/30/2020.
South Carolina: Insurance Producer and Limited Lines Insurance Producer licensees with March 31, 2020 expiration dates will have a new expiration date of April 30, 2020. Licensees with April 30, 2020 expiration dates will have a new expiration date of May 31, 2020.
Vermont: All adjuster licensees with expiration dates of 3/31/2020 who have not renewed will not be inactivated until 4/30/2020.
Ohio: Resident and Non-resident individual Major Lines, Limited Lines, Title Insurance Marketing Rep and Viatical Settlement Broker licensees with March 31, 2020 or April 1, 2020 expiration dates who have not yet renewed will be given a new expiration date of May 31, 2020. This also applies to business entity Viatical Settlement Brokers. If you have previously submitted a license renewal to the state, do not submit again. It will be declined as a duplicate.
Texas: Those with licenses set to expire in March or April will receive an extension of time to renew their license by two months and late fees will be waived. Texas will also allow agents more time to complete continuing education and waive continuing education fines. Due to testing and finger printing facilities being closed, Texas will issue temporary agent licenses without required testing and with a reduced fee of $50. All training can be completed online, and fingerprints will be submitted later. Temporary applications should be submitted online and paper applications will not be accepted. These temporary licenses will remain active until further notice and the additional temporary license fee will be waived. For adjusters, only Temporary General Lines- Emergency Adjuster licenses will be issued until testing and fingerprint sites reopen.
