Robert Ringer's Thoughts on Obama

Al3, I just wanted to add that the reason I agreed with your self-assessment that you are an *** is two-fold. First, I believe it to be true,

From one *** to another, I suppose.

but secondly, and most importantly, it helps me get to the required posts so that I can PM some of the agents on here that actually use the brain God gave them.

You are going to PM who? People here with a brain? People here who actually think? You are looking for people here with an education, who can read and write, and who don't just take the tripe Rush Limbaugh hands them? On this forum? Here? Well, there are a few but good luck in finding them!

Of course it helps to be somewhat wealthy, educated, and connected to do that and guys like Winter and Mr. Bill in this venue wouldn't know a fish knife from a Bowie knife or Beluga from trout bait. I'm convinced that the only thing most of you learned in high school or junior college (if you got that far) was not to draw to an inside straight.
Al, I agree with you but wonder why you can't post anything without insults.

We all are very happy that you believe you are wealthy, educated, and connected. It must be true because you point that out so much.

Rick

The people spoke based on incredible marketing and media support of Obama! Al, so you know, I didn't vote for either candidates. Still you should know the sheeple are clueless, they are spoon fed, and then regurgitate what they were fed.

Hmmm. I never heard that said from the right-wing when Bush got elected twice. The electorate was really smart. They sure got stupid in a hurry, didn't they.

The only ones who are "sheepie" and clueless are those here who, as Obama said yesterday don't realize that the sands have shifted beneath them. Things are changing, and they are not part of it. I'm convinced that the vast majority of agents in this venue are just like the old segregationist of the 60s and 70s. Their whole world crumbled and they never got over it. They sit in their private clubs sipping bourbon and remembering the good old days when quotas were enforced, when de jure segregation was widespread and de facto segregation was everywhere. I have no doubt, having read the ravings and rantings of the agents here that the idea of a young black man being the most powerful politician/leader in the world absolutely rocks their entire faith-based foundations.

Just like the old southerners found "outside agitators" to blame, the guys here will blame the media, or the marketing of the Obama campaign, or illegal immigrants, or liberals, or weather... anything so that they don't have to face themselves in the mirror in the morning. It will never dawn on them that they are a small minority party... getting smaller... and looking more to the past than to the future.

Like Rush Limbaugh (I assume you all heard what he said) most of the guys here don't love America, they love ideology over pragmatism, they favor white supremacy over multi-culturalism, and they believe in a zero-sum game that if someone else wins (liberals), they (neo-cons) lose. They will never understand that while their voices should be heard, people want to be governed from the middle not either fringe.

I for one hope and pray that Obama governs from the center as a pragmatist not an ideologue.

I posted the blog by Robert Ringer who is an Ayn Rand rationalist because we should not get caught up in the fervor of the moment.

While I understand the transcendency of the moment of a black man being elected President; we should judge the man by what he does or doesn't do not by the color of his skin.

We should not allow any President to act from hubris rather than reason or from feelings rather than logic. For it is not what we think or feel; it is what a man does that matters.

My hope is that he is a good President. By that I mean he doesn't buy into the jingoistic sloganeering of the victim identity left and he remembers that personal responsibility coupled with freedom and market capitalism is the engine that has made this country great.

Just because we have a temporary crisis does not mean we should embrace the tired rhethoric of the central planners and bureaucrats. My hope is that President Obama is a better man and a better leader than that. We must not forget our principles, our values, or our God; for these are the things that have always made America the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Okay, back to reality. Now we see that Richard Parsons, the man who orchestrated the crazy messed up merger between Time Warner and AOL is going to be the Chairman of Citigroup.

Seems to me that once you f*** something up really really badly, you shouldn't be given the opportunity to f*** something up all over again. Not that Citi isn't f***ed up already, but hey, it's practically POWNED by us taxpayers in the first place so....

It's exactly this kind of crap that I would hope Obama and his team would prevent from happening. I just don't think it's asking too much. That, and having a new head of the IRS who actually pays his taxes. Really - is it asking too much? I mean c'mon. If paying taxes isn't a factor, Marc Rich would probably be a better candidate to head the Treasury Department. At least he knows how to make money!

I thought Ayn Rand was an objectivist. I'm a bit rusty in that department, though.

I think they would have wanted Robert Rubin again but he destroyed Citigroup so they were scared off. Citi is history, broke, destroyed, no more. Rubin made about $15 to 20 million a year as vice chairman at Citi since Clinton left office. He was always viewed as the "genius" Democrat in the Clinton Admin.

He and the other cronies in Fannie & Freddie deserved to go to jail like the Enron guys as they caused far greater carnage.

Remember the Sarbanes Oxley Law that everyone had to be so careful about well Fannie & Freddie were exempt and no one has been subject to it especially Rubin.

I want to refrain further from political posting here. if Al3 brings up greedy conservative Republicsn etc - just bring up his home state California (CA).

CA has been destroyed by liberalism. The state is insolvent. govt employee unions, open borders, regulations, high taxes, insnae liberal laws and the list goes on and on.

Productive people are fleeing the state faster than refugees in a country having a war. Property values dropped over 30%. The state is broke and cannot sell any more bonds. They have high tech, biotech, entertainment and other high paying industries plus huge agriculture and the state is still stone broke. Ditto other Blue states and cities like MI, Chicago, Atlanta, San Jose, NYC and the list goes on and on. They all want bailout or TARP money.

Yesterday we heard all we need to know about Hope & Change where Robert Reich said "no jobs for white male construction workers" as part of the stimulus.

I heard an African American guy on the radio yesterday said he has worked contruction for years and he cannot get work because all jobs sites have just illegals.

My view is give every American man or lady a shot at any construction work. Obama wants to insure white males are excluded. He is a racist.

As far as jail goes, Henry Blodget escaped. It's hard to believe that he is now advocating something akin to reform?

But look what's happened with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. BofA demands an additional $20 billion from TARP and Merrill is issuing $15 billion of bonus checks.

Where is jailtime in this one? It is beyond disgusting.

Billions of Taxpayer Dollars Flushed Down John Thains $35K Commode: Tech Ticker, Yahoo! Finance

This is the kind of thing that should waste quite a few politician's careers, but I doubt it will.

She was but most people dont know what that is. The fundamental principles of her philosophy are realistic rationality and reason.
