Sagicor Final Expense Rates

I'm very surprised that TwiLight hasn't responded to this thread as he is an IMO and cheerleader for Sagicor products... unless something has changed. Or he could just be taking a nice long holiday I suppose. Wake-up TwiLight!!!

LOL....Here I am.

Sagicor is not really an FE company. They have a Non-Par Whole Life product with a minimum $25k face. They do have a simple issue basis for underwriting up to Table 4 at a Standard Rate and is priced very competitively ages 18-65. Their Smoker Rate is excellent at all ages.

As for Gordon112. A Male 62 Smoker at $30k GUL with Sagicor it is: $135.31/mo Stand Rate. $126.51 Pref Rate. GUL is a fully underwritten plan.

The Gold Whole Life is Standard to Tbl 4 and is $203/month for $30k on a 62M SMK

That's not very a very good deal for that 62 year old smoker. He could could get $30,000 whole life from RNA for $115/mo.

Doesn't look competive on the GUL and certainly not on the whole life.

Only at a Standard Rate. What is the Rate after they apply the usual Table 2 or 4 Rating. It is not easy getting a Standard Rate out of RNA for Fully underwritten plans.

You will find that not many will have competitive GUL's any more after 1/1 with AG38 fully applied.

Also, I am not suggesting a GUL is right for someone at this age and at this Face amount. I believe a WL product is the best thing.

The Sagicor Rate takes Table 4 into account just like most FE best Rate Product and is priced that way.

It is a niche product and dollar for dollar it fits most people with small issues at a competitive rate for $25-99k face amounts. Smokers especially.

What niche would be? The niche that wants to overpay and have a glorified term policy? I never run into that niche.

No, the niche for smokers wanting 25k-99k of coverage that want whole life underwritten like an FE plan and not fully underwritten.

I am not a proponent of GUL for seniors. Only GUL product for Seniors I would recommend are Survivor GUL Products for Estate Planning $500k or more.

I know that is not your market though. The Survifor GUL has come back in a big way with the estate tax exemption being lowered back to $1 million. Not hard for a small farmer to use that up when passing the family farm to the kids.

Transamerica just introduced their TansACE Survivor GUL and is a good product.

GUL has its place but not in FE.

I am a proponent of GUL and term for_some_ seniors. Not the broke or near broke FE clients. Not disagreeing with you on FE, but more on the blanket no GUL for seniors statement.

I do like Sagicor's non med GUL.

Personal Opinion for me. Isn't that how a good salesperson works though. You push what you believe and the client buys it or not. We sell ourselves more than the product in the end.
