Salutations from NC

It's nice to meet you guys :)

I've lurked on here enough to consider the jokes as terms of endearment.

I work in Dunn, I've seen your posts on here though, I know you work for Senior Life. I work for a similar type set up but we're mostly focusing on field stuff. The call center just helps pay the bills lol.

I'm not foreign, but thank you for asking :) Sometimes I let my seniors call me Anna (I mostly work in states that are distrustful of foreigners) I'm from Occoquan, VA. My parents just got a little overboard with the unique name game.
"Ahnurh? You foreign? I don't want no damn in-surance from Indiur!"

Haha don't know how to quote individual posts from my phone either.

When my wife and I were married--26 years ago--our first home was a condo in beautiful Occoquan. Loved that place. Welcome.

Hey, i'm Ahna!
:twitchy:I'm a newbie with about a year of experience, I work in a call center mostly with seniors. My favorite part of my job is helping people who have health problems and my favorite companies are Foresters, Pioneer American, Baltimore, Five star, and Monumental right now. Even though I work mostly over the phone, I get to meet a plethora of interesting characters in a few different states. I like this forum because there are a lot of experienced people willing to offer advice and help others. When it comes to anything i've had to learn the hard way: I like to share what little I know as well and pay it forward.

Fun fact: I've helped someone over 600lbs!:goofy:

So i'm curious as to what your most interesting client has been so far in FE, guise?

Are you actually selling over the phone or setting appointments for face to face sales?

I did not think Monumental or 5-Star allowed any phone or mail sales.

Oh, it's a lovely place for newlyweds. I loved nova :) I was born at Potomac hospital 3 years after you were married. Haha, that makes me feel like a youngin'.

Ah yes... Dunn. A suburb of Erwin. My friend Nick Skatell runs his practice from Erwin. We call it "Gilligan's Island".:D

I've heard of Nick Skatell :) Never met him, though.
Oh you should visit on the 3rd when some of the more colorful characters scutter out of the woodwork to collect their checks. I remember my first week in NC when I saw a person wearing cut off overalls with no undershirt. I was just shocked haha. If i'm correct, Erwin is the home of denim days!

Ernie's Buffet in Dunn is a favorite place of mine.
My great grandfather loved Ernies when he was living, I actually live and work just minutes from there.
In that same shopping center is a thrift shop called "Boleka's" You should stop there the next time you go to Ernies! Their coffee is terrible but they have very cool things :)

I prefer Heath's.....
Heath's looks like a hole in the wall, but if you recommend it i'll have to give it a try.
My favorite restaurant in the area is Ma's diner in Coats. They have homemade onion rings that are magical.

C'mon Greg...rescue poor Ahna from her call center job!
Haha, I like my call center! But i'll be trying out other things eventually. I'm just not quite ready yet :)

I sell over the phone in other states, mostly. It's a pain to sell in NC imo, i'd rather sell in Mississippi where everyone wants me to come to dinner and I can have a little more flexibility.
You are quite right though, I have access to the materials and I like 5-Stars competitive pricing. I work with a lot of different agents and i'm like a sponge in a lot of ways. When I do go into the field, i'd like to have more companies I can work with. I've also looked over Monumental's app/prices and my "mentor"/boss worked for them for years as well. I can't use them -yet- I just like both of those companies and would like to be able to add them to my repertoire when I work in the field.

Yeah but who pays attention to all the minor details?:twitchy:

It's refreshing to see someone who also has a soft spot for seniors!
I just have access to a lot of information lol. I like a lot of companies but not just because I'm able to use them.
Union National, for example, is my favorite company ever but i'd never work for them ;) lol
