SBLI

58/month for ACH payor with COPD.

Sometimes Accendo or Aflac beat their Standard rates for COPD. But SBLI is much more flexible with heart meds and underwriting in general

Those are very good rates for 60 yr old tobacco copd smoker 60 yr old Trans $65 and foresters $73 . Ain't no kskj but nobody is .Very sellable . How much is 65 year old 10 k non smoker ?

Preferred rate is 41.55. Competitive but no price buster

$41.55 must be 65 yr old female $10 k ? Still in line with family benefit with more aggressive underwriting. The problem becomes if poor drafting . Also if customer has to be on the phone to redraft that's an issue . Rna terrible like that . And in my eco with great western using direct express without true ss billing is a nightmare with a ton of nsf's . Direct express with true ss billing is tough enough

The only draft dates they have are the 1st and 3rd. And 2w, 3w, 4w.

You can't chose any other draft dates.

The only other option is to pay on the day of application. Then drafts will be that day each month.

They claim true SS billing. But I'm not sure they know what it is. CinnEq is like that. They claim true SS billing but no one there knows what it is.

This is not a company built on agent service. It's a company built for call centers that have their own conservation depts.

They just happen to have broker contracts.

SBLI does have brochures.

SBLI does not claim TRUE SS billing. It does have SS billing though.

It was never meant to accept DE or CC business - we were surprised it launched with that ability. I would send that business elsewhere as there are consistent billing issues on that business. We've advised our agents not to send any of that business there.

For EFT business, it's become our #1 carrier because it's a 90%+ approval rate. All they do is run a Milliman Rx Script check. No MIB or anything else.

As for agent service, it's not great. You have to remember SBLI was primarily a traditional term and permanent insurance carrier and there's not as much service work with that business. You can get someone on the phone and get responses by email, but it's not as quick as your traditional agent-centric FE carriers.

I'm biased, but it's become a must-have in your FE bag and you'll start seeing more IMO's market it very soon. It's become the go-to product for transitioning FFL agents not able to get released from FFL.
