Anyone ever heard of the Security Benefit SIA (Income Rider) product? I hear it always has the highest income but is exclusive. Anything similar out there?

SB SIA income rider pretty much always has the best payout. It is an exclusive product through Advisors Excell. They created some good kool-aid over there.

Besides SB SIA, then it depends on age, if single or joint payout, and years of deferral.

The number 2 through 4 income riders move around based on these factors. With the back end payouts being the most important component to the equation.

Best thing to do is get the data and then have an organization run the numbers. The answer should not be the same carrier all the time for every age and deferral. If you are getting the same answer then they are just being lazy or pitching their core carriers.

I have a excel spreadsheet that I use for my agents. It was a beast to create with all the data from the carriers, but it is very helpful.

Chad, the SIA does have a high payout and usually beats most carriers, but it depends on the state. Sentinel has a product available in a few states that will beat the SIA every time.

Security Benefit does have a sister product to the SIA. It is called Total Value Annuity, or TVA.

Its pretty exclusive as well, I believe as of a few months ago SBL only had about 1,500 agents licensed with it.

But I have ran the TVA against almost everything out there (comparing apples to apples) and it comes out on top.

I've got some more information if you would like to take a look.

I hope someone has heard of the SIA. It and its sister SBL product the TVA are the #3 and #1 selling fixed index annuity products this past quarter respectively.

Allianz Regains Its #1 Position; Western National Retakes the Lead in Banks | NAFA Annuity Outlook, Inc.

Whether or not the products' performance will live up to the expectations being set by distribution remains to be seen.
