Selling from a Mall Kiosk

My guess is the mall won't be a place to sell, just to prospect. For prospecting, it MIGHT work. I'm not sure how I would pull it off, but I'd probably get those little helicopters flying around and let the kids play.....

Not sure how I would translate that to a good prospect though...

You could try dressing up to gain attention.

Allstate used to have booths in Sears stores. Sold a lot of HO and auto but I doubt much else.

Now I could see it doing very well for home and auto. Then try to cross-sell life after you've turned them into a customer/client.

In my local mall a guy has an actual store in the mall. Now he got started and established when MA's first hit the market the end of 2005. Wish I would of done that, he made a killing. He now has a few employees, furnished very nicely, now he does just about everything, auto, home, life, but his bread and butter is Medicare. Not so sure about a Kiosk.

If you have a mall kiosk in a mall where there are before business hours mall walkers (mostly seniors) you could man the kiosk at that hour and offer free water to the walkers. Use one of those big water bottles and paper cups. It might pay dividends with a small investment.

Why incur the expense of a kiosk if you are going to be there in the early AM? With permission from the mall manager you could probably set up a card table and accomplish the same.

I have worked over the counter sales for Life&Health at state fairs. This was a few years back, but we got a ton of leads. We had a free drawing for a money tree.Dollar bills were attached to a fake Christmas tree.Everyone over 21 who came by,was invited to enter to win the money tree.Nothing was sold at the booth. The entry card asked would you like more info on about five products. It also had only call me if I will something.Everyone was called for a small consolation prize worth about five dollars with appointment..Yes we had someone not with us pick the card for the money tree.I say we,because you needed to at all times have someone in the booth; or the money tree would disappear.About 500 cards filled out a day. Most never would buy anything-but many did. This is much work&expense for a small group of agents.I believe it would still work today.

Seems like car insurance would be better at the mall. We have this chain here of grocery stores, called "Fiesta".. they kind of have a mall up front in the store, they have a jewelry store, a bank, all inside the store. They also have a car insurance agency in there.

Get a sign that says "Free beer Life Insurance Company" and when they walk over start asking them about their life insurance. If they ask about the 'free beer' just let them know that is the name of your company. :twitchy:

I always said that if I had a band I was going to call it "Free Beer". Then when I put out my sign at the local bar it would say "Free Beer starts tonight at 8:00" or something to that affect. :GEEK:
