Selling from a Mall Kiosk

Why incur the expense of a kiosk if you are going to be there in the early AM? With permission from the mall manager you could probably set up a card table and accomplish the same.

Are you serious? Do you think malls are not for profit?

Instead of buying a kiosk you think the mall will let you set up camp for free and try to sell to their customers? I don't see that EVER happening.

Malls are selling one thing and one thing only...traffic walking past and into the stores that rent from them. They don't give that traffic away. And they don't rent for free.

Wal-Mart will let you set up a tent in their parking lot though I hear.

I considered doing this a couple of years back, but couldn't get enough agents to man the kiosk.

We figured we would have attractive hourly paid employees doing surveys, signage talking about college funding, tax free retirement, final expense, etc.

If I ever get enough committed agents to actually work, I might give it a go during the holidays Oct-Jan.

My very first job was as a bank teller and they promoted me for selling 38 new accounts in three weeks to "in-aisle flyer". What does that mean?

I was the guy that walked into and around a supermarket convincing people to open bank accounts with me. You want to talk about depressing? They transfered me to business banking after a month, but that was the hardest month of working in my life.

I'd rather have a store in the mall (I've seen real estate offices at a few malls down here) over a kiosk.

Wal-Mart traffic might actually be more valuable. Some Wal-Mart shoppers might actually know how to live within their means.

Either last year or the year before, we had a wal-mart thread going. Somebody had asked the mgr. to set up out front, don't remember how that all ended.....

I'm not saying I'd do it. It doesn't appeal to me either, but I'd definitely prefer it over a kiosk in the mall.

Now, a grocery store, and stopping them before they went in? That could be a gold mine. During the day you get stay at home parents and seniors. After work you get the working parents, and more working adults on the weekends.

Depends if you are P&C (Scavenger) mentality or life agent (Predator) mentality

One will wait for something to die to eat. The other will go out and kill something.

edit, I had a question about certain adults showing up but it was not appropriate. ha ha
