Seminar Flyer

I am a newbie and would like to schedule final expense seminars at low income apartments and senior living homes. Do anyone have an idea for a flyer I can use to get the managers to let me in. I'm just starting out so I may furnish cookies and soda; and would want seminar to last about 1 hour.

You are fishing in the wrong pond.

Does senior living home = a place where someone takes care of them? 1 step before the nursing home?

Many of the these people are also on Medicaid. Those type places are poor places for prospecting in my experience. A senion citizens center would be better but good luck gettin the chance.

try your local library, which usually belongs to a group by county. The most important thing to emphasize is that you will NOT be soliciting business but having an "educational seminar". Request flyers to be up at the locations around.

I had the greenlight to do this with ltc, medicare supplements, and FE, but something came up and I had to cancel. I'm thinking about doing that again

Actually, it wasn't the flyer that got the appt but the script and it was nothing special. I found a listing of independent living residents on the internet in my area... called and asked to speak with the activity coordinator as they are always needing activity ideas for their residents. I explained to her I wanted to present an EDUCATIONAL Medicaid/Medicare Q & A seminar and that refreshments will be served, there would be door prizes, and everyone would receive a free discount prescription card. The script was as follows:

Hello, how are you? Can you give me the name of your activity coordinator? May I speak to her please? Hi _______________________, if your day has been like mine, I know you may be busy so I will get right to the point. My name is __________ and I am an associate with a local agency here in ______________ at _______________ called ___________________.
I got your number from a website on the internet. Are the residents of your facility active or is it more like a nursing home or assistant living facility? The reason I ask is because last year we were asked to visit a few retirement homes and senior apartments during open enrollment and for residents who were about to turn 65 to present an educational seminar to answer questions regarding Medicaid and Medicare because the language is so confusing. We discovered seniors who were paying for benefits that they should not have been paying and we even found some who were eligible to receive a cash benefit.
We have a few properties that we visit on an ongoing basis as an added benefit to their residents. The word got out and now we have seniors calling us all the time now when they need questions answered. And these seminars have been such a success here that we are now presenting them in _____________, ___________, and even _____________. And we would like to include your facility also.
We make it a fun event so it's like an activity. We serve refreshments, give door prizes, and everyone in attendance gets a free discount prescription card… and we encourage their family members to attend also.
If you allow us the pleasure to visit your facility I will e-mail or bring you a flyer that you can post letting the residents know when we will be there. I am sure this would be a service your residents and their families will appreciate. If you need time to think about it, please do and then just send me an e-mail or call my office at ___________ and I will reserve the time you prefer. And if you need me to hand-deliver you a flyer to post, I will be happy to.
YOU CAN TWICK IT TO SUIT YOU.
