Senior Dental Plans ....

Or if you go to a network dentist, the $1200 is dropped to $900 and it pays 50% of $900 and then it doesn't suck as bad.

I think the indemnity plans (like Medico or Constution a few years back) are the worst when it comes to low balling the UCR.

Is there any way to offer Delta Dental Premier to individuals? That network/reimbursement seems to be the nest but I think it is only offered on the employer market.

Sounds like a great sales pitch.

This plan still sucks but not as bad as it could have.

Group dental is superior to individual plans hands down. Back when I did sell group dental I had almost as many complaints about that as I did major medical.

If the plan was from Ameritas there were usually more complaints than on major med claims. Ameritas had their own internal cost figures (as did all the other carriers) and used that as the starting point before applying the % they would pay.

Dental has more gaps than almost anything sold and there is always a way for a dentist, even a par dentist, to pad their bill with extras to make up for the low reimbursement. When you consider that fewer than 20% of dentists in a metro area are par providers (and an even lower % in rural areas) you have a product that is primed for consumer complaints.

Are there any "gap" plans we could add on to these?

So about 25% of billed charges.

$1200 crown pays $300 towards the cost.

And no one complains?

It was a joke, I am in the strongly advise against camp, Since I moved into this camp I don't have to deal with these complaints anymore

Negative selling at its finest.

I think delta has a fairly good dental plan. Commission is enough to buy 1 gallon of gas per month... Nice thing with them is if the customer is coming from another dental insurance they will wave the waiting periods.
