Senior Dental, Vision and Hearing Policy

That is funny!!! But with the MA season approaching. His target agent market is ripe for the taking...

My heart goes out to these poor folks who are hoodwinked into getting their license with the promise of easy money doing MA. Frank, I know you can appreciate this, and I am sure you have shared my same experiences with talking to new agents who started doing MA, and now trying to figure out how they are going to make a living selling insurance now that the Gold Rush is over. As if in a 20-minute phone conversation or an email I am going to be able to teach them how to be successful selling FE, or Med Sup ect. Because that was probably the extent of training that they had before they began slinging PFFS plans.

They are now forced with the task of actually collecting money, and or getting bank info for premium drafts. That can be a heavy task when your not used to asking for premium, or doing the other things to be a successful Independent Agent...

I agree, my heart also goes out to them to the point of almost feeling sorry for them.

Even though there has never been such a thing as a "free lunch" there are tons of people out there looking for a get rich quick gig.

The recruitment tactics of marketing organizations and agency owners really makes me sick sometimes. Ads like:

SHOW ME THE MONEY ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Earn $150,000 first year working part time from home in your underwear. (It doesn't even have to be clean.)

Give health insurance away to Seniors. No money to collect, they don't have to pay premiums. Send in a signed application and receive a check within 15 minutes.

Contact "Stickit Up Yourbutt Agency". Turn in 25 apps and you will be a member of our "Break It Off" exclusive producers club. Among the benefits you will receive is the right to move to the front of the unemployment line.

That ain't right. Once again I'm holding back.

I submitted about 15 MA apps in July (don't forget I was in Alaska for a week) without seeing anyone, working part time at home. I'm also recruiting and training.

Not a lot of people can do this. It is a mind set and a lot of experience.

How many is "about" 15?

All that while you were in Alaska and working only part-time from home in your underwear. Your training must be outstanding.

You definitely have my vote for the forum "Stud Muffin".

That's a pretty good whole month for many agents. I worked the whoe month. I did 20 MA PFFS, all face to face. I did 3 SNP's, all face to face. I did $6000 ap FE, again, face to face. I also did $2000 ap in term life. Those were also face to face appointments.

I don't know know how you do MA plans without meeting with the folks, but, more power to you. It must be easier than what I'm doing.

July 2008;

I canceled my 10 day east coast vacation and finally placed 48 retiree MedSupp's with 48 PDP's. This did require several seminars, numerous corp meetings, and a time line that started last November.

But, I did do 3 horse shows during July!
Now that's old school ;)

AWESOME!

I don't call that "old school" I call it taking care of your clients and making them feel "warm and fuzzy". Those people will be on the books for a very long time. You have built trust and a long term relationship with them. You are, not a an order taker to them, you ARE their insurance agent. That's how one makes long term money in this business.

That is most impressive. Congratulations. That was time well spent. I'm sure you will get a bunch more from all the time you put into it.

I was in Alaska for 10 days and submitted 16 MA apps in July, working less than part-time at home. I recruited and trained one more agent than you did.

Also played golf 22 days out of the month. (Yes, that makes 32 days but I'm very good at time management).:D
