Does this demographic indicate a strong possibility of FE candidates ?
If so, would you advertise in a monthly tabloid ? , or just direct mail.
You can't always knock. There is security on the grounds. Anybody, on the forum
have any experience with these suspects ? The ad is about 50 bucks per month
For a quarter page. If, so any print ads come to mind ?

Don't expect a tabloid or newspaper ad to draw enough responses to pay for itself..However, using them can build you credibility through increased name recognition.. Not sure anyone has found anything more effective for FE than Direct Mail.

Why limit yourself to such a narrow field? Homes under 50K are most likely rentals. If they are the landlord, they may even live in another state. Also, if they can't afford to move, they probably cant afford what your selling. I would do some canvassing and go door knocking to see the areas and meet a few of the people. Yard sales and garage sales are a good start.

You can get into more homes and find more nice folks to talk to by going around to yard sales (spend a couple of bucks) than anything else. Don't solicit though! People will shy away. Let THEM do all the talking. You can be subtle in your approach. I found out when I was in real estate, one of the main reasons for a yard, garage, moving sale is that someone DIED.

If someone died, then someone paid the bill (hopefully for the undertaker's sake), and that person is A GOOD PROSPECT, or knows someone who is. People get old and move too, they go into nursing homes, assisted living, etc. NOW, they can get coverage, since most carriers dont want to cover someone in a nursing home. You can catch these people while they are reachable.

Once the realtor's sign goes on the lawn, so goes your prospect. Once you get around a bit, you will start noticing who the successful realtors are because they will be there too!!

Direct mail works well, even better when you have a good area to mail to. But you can go to a lot of estate sales or yard sales with the 400 bucks you will fork out and then to have to wait and pray for a result.
