Setting DM Appts by Phone

So for you guys that set DM appts by phone I have a few questions.

So you get all your leads, and call through them. What time do you start calling?

If you called through all of them and only set 3 appts and only got a hold of say, 5 out of 15 leads, do you call back through the leads you just called immediately, or do you wait an hour, wait until the afternoon or what.

There's no "1 size fits all" approach, so everyone Im sure doesnt it a little differently. I wouldnt call thru them right away as u asked though. But I call mines between 930-1030am and set what I can. Then about 11-12pm I go out & door knock who I haven't reached...then call in the evenings again who I still havent gotten a hold of. After calling the 1st 2-3 days of the week...whoever I havent gotten a hold of by then, I stop calling, it all door knocking by then, with some exceptions.

I don't have any set schedule other than I call for Tues on Mon and call for Thurs on Wed.

I didn't make my first call on Monday of this week until around noon. By 1:00 I had Tues full.

I didn't make my first call today for tomorrow until around 3:00. I had to call through the leads twice to get tomorrow full. Or as full as I wanted anyway. I did over my goal on Tues so I wasn't real concerned about tomorrow.

When I start calling I will call through the list once and if not filled up for appointments then I will start at the top again and call through them again. If twice through doesn't get my day filled then I take an hour or so break and then call through it twice more or until I get the day filled.

I will do that until I'm booked full for the next day or 7:00 pm. If I get to 7:00 pm and don't have the next day filled then I just won't have it filled. I'll take my leads with me the next day and call between appointments or doorknock the ones without numbers.

I ask for the person on the card and once i have that person on the phone;

"Mr. Jones, this is JD with {my company} and we are people that you sent in a request for information about our final expense life insurance plans and I'm the guy that takes care of that in your town. I'm calling today because I'm going to be there tomorrow and I need 10 minutes of your time to go over that. Does 10:00 in the morning work for you?"

That's it. It only varies from that depending on what they say. Once the 10 o'clock appointment is set then I will ask for 11:30 until I have 6 appointments for the day. Then I stop.

Do you verify the address or ask for any directions?

Yes. Once the appointment is agreed to I always ask if the address is correct. That's good to always ask because many times they have moved. Sometimes I will ask for directions even if I know right where they are. That's just to solidify the appointment in their mind.
