Setting DM Appts by Phone

Many of my leads have a 'best time to reach you' area filled in and will often tell me exactly when I should call... I try to stick to that the first couple attempts. That said, I typically don't do much calling from noon-5pm, and I limit my evening calling for retired folks to before 7:30pm, while there are many younger working people who want to be called (or at least can be reached) after 8:00pm. (I have agents in my office who are ok with calling right up until 9pm, but personally I don't like calling anyone after 8-8:30pm.)

Yes. Once the appointment is agreed to I always ask if the address is correct. That's good to always ask because many times they have moved. Sometimes I will ask for directions even if I know right where they are. That's just to solidify the appointment in their mind.

If they can't do the 10am, do you try to fill the other slots and come back to it?

New question: What do you do if the lead card has no phone number? Is there a good site that will do a reverse lookup?

JD, please make sure this info is the consistency of baby food. Don't want him to choke on it?

Dude are you serious? Don't be afraid to try some things on your own and use your Internet for something other than the insurance forums. Everything should not have to be chewed up and spit in your mouth like a baby bird.

Wow that was a little rough. Sorry wrote that post while I was calling my first batch of DM leads ever.

At the time I was thinking you would just DK the lead, but realized there's gotta be some reverse lookup as I was typing.

But thanks for the help.

Glad that you can take a little criticism, it will make you better. ;)
