SSDI + MA T65 Dec 2017

Talked with a man on SSDI + Mcare + MA for 10 yrs. (Liver cancer, in remission). T65 12/23/2017.

If he keeps his $0 Aetna MA through May can he sign up for Medigap and PDP in May for a June 1 eff date? Or because he is more than 63 days past Dec 31 is he screwed?

Anything special about terming the MA in May to go on original Mcare + Medigap + PDP?

This is an IEP2 election period that will end 3 months after T65 birthday month. So he has until end of March to get on a PDP for his IEP2, and still be within his Med Supp OEP all effective April 1st. I do believe this is the right scenario with this case
