Success As a Newbie in First Couple of Months

I'm in Texas, and already appointed and writing FE with 4 carriers so far.

I can't understand why MOO would give new agents rights to existing policy holders. What happens when they stop coming in? Do they train you on how to get your own clients? Are they captive? If so, your renewals might not be so great if they are getting re-writen every year

If you're doing "fine without his pitch", then why are you asking him what he says to them? Sounds like you were interested in what he says to them until he told you that he's not going to share his entire routine with you. You should learn to be polite to folks and not be so nasty.

Looks like I've found another tool to help me be successful in my new career. I'm just starting down the road to become an agent. I took the FL Life Exam for the 1st time last week and failed. I'll be taking it again this coming Friday and I should be on my way. I was recruited by NYLife to sell Life, Health & Annuities. Just have to make it past the state exam now.

I just wanted to share some of my experiences with new agents in the industry.

I started out in late febuary with mutual of omaha and it has been great so far... everything that's been promised to me has happened . i never thought it would have been this easy.

i never had to cold call once becuase management gives me a bunch of orphan policy owners to call.

these people always want to see you. (usually older folks.)
there pay is pretty decent you get 50% plus another 70% plus another 29%. seems pretty good to me.

im avreaging about 1,200-2,000/week just with policy owners.

no expenses accept gas.

im only 20 and on pace to 84k first year..

No, he's not in management. He's a young guy who is doing really well. He got hooked up with a decent office up in NY.
