Why would anybody be talking about somebody they don't even know??????

I can see it now........PROSPECT "who's Dan and how does he know me?" ........AGENT......"never mind Ms. Smith it is not important" :skeptical:
 
I will take your advice. My concern was spending to much time in front of people who don't qualify. But as I review the different policies that seems unlikely.

Get a good mix of carriers and you should be fine.

I don't think I would be interested in using the first part of the script but there are some great things I will use. I'm going to type up a script tonight and will post it for feedback.

I will be doing face to face in Missouri. The only state I might add is Arkansas.

Not sure how to answer the "when" question. Do you mean time of day or the date I plan to start dialing?

I found SE Missouri to be a gold mine for me. Bonne Terre, Fredicktown, Ironton, that whole area was great. I also had a lot of success in the Cape Girardeau and "Unpopular Bluff" area.

The people are great and very receptive.
 
The question is are you setting appointments or finding people that are interested and calling them back with quotes?

You can set appointments all day of people agreeing to meet with you and you will eventually write some business but at what opportunity cost?

Do you want to get their info, shop with their companies and call them back with the price and set up a time to fill out the paperwork or try to set an appoitment to meet with them and give them the price and write the app on that appointment.

Your approach is going to be very different depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
 
I will not quote them a price over the phone.

I don't know what you sell, I sell Med Supps. I would never consider setting an appointment with a prospect unless I know how much they are paying per month and without telling them exactly how much the premium/savings would be if they take a policy with me.

That would be to do a "Medicare Review" and those are mostly going to be a waste of my time.

Telling them the premium prior to setting the appointment probably works best in the senior market.
