Telesales

That's correct. However, I don't think Baltimore Life writes business in Cali.

If your smart you would get contracted with several companies and do it all over the phone and get signatures over mail and fax and email. That way your not just pushing 2-3 companies

I would totally agree Matt. Carriers that allow mailouts in CA are:

RNA
UHL
Assurity
MOO
Americo

I'm sure there are more that maybe others know about but those will get someone started.

OK, not just for FE agents, but really for ANY life or MedSupp Guys:

What's your process in getting the applications mailed back to you, completed correctly, in a timely manner?

Is there anything you can do besides calling on them to make sure to hasten the return process? Do you do a 2nd call to walk them through everywhere to sign?

Thanks,
Dave

I complete the app on the phone. All they need to do is sign. I put all the signature pages together and flag all the highlighted signature lines. Also write the names of who signs if more than one.

I use priority mail with tracking both ways. I follow up with an email, text or call after they get it. Amazing how many "Seniors" text

We also get a lot back by email or fax.

If it starts to get long I send an email that I may have to cancel the application. I may also add that we are getting close to an age change.

Some you just know are going to be a pain. I drove 1 1/2 hours today to pick one up from a long time client. I already know them, it would have been more than a week to get it back.

The apps you do through the mail... where did these leads come from originally?

Are these clients you've had and met face-to-face with already? Or are these brand new clients?

Thanks Wino.

All across the board. Many are from my own book. in one form or other. Maybe three or four level out. Like the parents of a beneficiary of a referral. Of which many I have never met face to face or met once 15 years ago. Most are referrals or orphans I have picked up. I have not met most of these f2f.

Lately, I have had several internet leads forwarded to me by other agents. Pretty much works the same way. As Frank would say I give good phone.

I am trying to get out more to see the people. But because of some family obligations have been doing most of my business by phone the last few months. I enjoy see clients. I do the sale on the phone. I go out to pick up the application and sometimes to better explain the concept or product and to start the referral process.

Rick told me he has to take a cold shower everytime he talks with you on the phone. He says you have him at, "Hello" :D

How is tele-sales going for everyone? Just curious, because I have this thought that mabey the people we are dealing with do not have a fax or a e-mail...Granted the "Pony Express" is an option..Or Paul Revere yelling "The Insurance agents are coming"...Does anyone have any input on how to communicate with the less tech impaired? Do you mabey think, we as agents are getting to advanced over are market? Getting the cart in front of the horse you might say..Don't know..Feedback would be appreciated..Thanks.
