Fine. Moving forward, I identify as a Lionel locomotive. Instead of telling me I am crazy, I demand you address me as Choo Choo and support my lunacy. I will begin seeking out surgery, and will have my children surgically altered, post haste. I'd you don't address me as "Choo-choo" moving forward you are a trainphobe, and it will be your fault for any pain I feel. I am going to see if I can convince my neighbors to have their kids reasigned, you know, to help normalize it, and help other delusional people feel better, and get surgery and "accept" it rather than getting the help they need.

Why is it always vehicles when it comes to this argument. Between trains and the attack helicopter schtick, it's almost like you folks are trying to tell us something. I mean being a transformer would be really cool, but think of the long term consequences.

I think it's unfair to compare the two. When it comes to gender, like Travis said earlier, it's a social construct. They are labels we've given to our roles in society. Whether it be their brain makeup, chemical/hormone imbalances, or just the way they grew up; some people just end up feeling different from their sex. And I mean, that makes sense because men and women are of the same species and are not trains. Sometimes wires get crossed or things get funky.

And it's not like this is a really new thing. There have been people throughout history who have struggled with this. Quite a few archaeological discoveries of biological males found in what would be considered attire for women.

I don't think gender dysphoria is nearly as widespread as people are making it seem to be. There will always be some who fake these things for attention or trends. But I don't think it's a bad thing to normalize it, and subsequently educate our kids about it. Surgery, hormone therapy, and indoctrination is a completely different thing. I say just inform kids about it and then let them figure it out. That's part of growing up.

This, 100%.

Surgery absolutely should not be given to kids. Outlined above.

Hormone therapy prior to puberty is also a horrible idea. This is a parent, medical professional, child, and psychological discussion.

Not some petty and childish bunch of a-holes on an insurance website that think they have some great insight with something they know almost zero about...

Normalization reduces stigmatized views, such as the people you see here, from society. That logically reduces psychological stress from people trying to figure out who they are.

While I'm on board that Democrats go to an extreme (and they absolutely do), at least the message is consistent.

Instead of, freedom.. freedom.. freedom.. unless I disagree with what you want to do..
