The Dismantling of ObamaCare - Ongoing Updates.

Will lose my grandfathered plan this year. It's a 10kHSA for family of 5, premium was just under $700/month.

New rate for 2018 is just under $2100/month. My individual max goes down from $10k to $6550, but my family max goes up to $13,100.

Premiums will be $25,200/yr.
MOOP will be $13,100/yr.
A bad year will cost me $38,300 in medical bills and premiums

Unbelievable....

I will be either looking into a small group plan (most likely) or investigating these health-share plans. It's bad when the guy who sells the stuff cannot afford his own premiums...

33% requested by BCBSofSC.

Its not approved yet. Last year the state approved an increase that was 13% higher than what they requested... :1eek:

Russell that is a significant financial disaster. :(
I'm on GF plan and wondering when it will get the axe
So far not yet but with an aging closed risk pool it's inevitable

No clue on the veracity, but BCBSTX said in the meetings that ACA required all the GF plans to be gone on 1/1/20.

After 7 years and volumes later, I did not know that.

Me either. And I questioned him after (I've known him a while) and he said its ACA, not them. The GF book for them is still really profitable and they are hoping it will continue past 2020.
