The Door Knock Life

When I was with the big funeral chain corporate sent this guy out to visit my team in Phoenix less than 10 years ago.

I wonder if he is still operating canvassking.com ... no new youtube content in about 8 or 9 years and his webisite looks a bit dated.

I was rolling!

Well, I will share this story and then I will quit... if I have shared it before, forgive me, I am an old man and tend to repeat myself.

My, staff manager was a very picky fastidious type of little fellow. For example, whenever we stopped to eat, he would example every pieces of silverware with a very keen eye. In all the years I have known him, I don't think I have ever had a meal with him that he did not send at least one piece of his silverware back. `

We had gotten in a home using the lost lost friend routine. The husband an I were sitting on the couch, my staff manager was sitting in a chair facing us. I could see the wife in the kitchen preparing their dinner... There was cute little girl who was still in diapers (cloth in those days) playing under the table. As I watched, she got up and walked over to the mom and tugged on her skirt tail. The baby had such a load in the diaper that the lump was almost dragging the floor. The mom looked down, saw the problem; proceed to remove the diaper, shake it out under the table and put it back on the kid!!!!
I told Jack, "Hey, we have to go. We have that appointment we have to keep. He said, "Just a minute" and I told him, "No we have go NOW!" and headed for the door with him trailing behind. We got to the car, he started to chew me out for interrupting his presentation that the guy was going to buy to which I responded, "If you write you will collect because I won't". I then told him what I had seen and just hearing about it made him kind of turn green and I thought he was going to loose his lunch. I am sure the couple was wondering who were those masked men when we left... I still think of that incident every time I pass that house.. :twitchy:

It got me thinking . Much like you daytimer I'm going to start targeting more middle class clients . You get much higher loyalty and get to use your knowledge .

Don't do it!!!

It will never work.

I have tried to tell folks on here for years that it is not just "JD's People" that are final expense insurance prospects. I have sold final expense for years, beginning with the debit days, we just didn't call it FE. We called it life insurance.

Unicorn!

:1cute:

Did you get to the Reading Terminal market? if so, do tell!

I did..

Unfortunately we were still full from our first ever Cracker Barrel breakfast. Personally, I was expecting something different at cracker barrel.

Had a Gyro, then a fresh fruit smoothie at Terminal Market. Both very good. Going hungry next time.

Cracker Barrel is an overrated chain. Went for breakfast twice years ago and that fool me once, fool me twice, you don't get fooled again as Dubya tried to say.

That's too bad because that would be like going to Little Italy in the Bronx and getting Pizza from Dominos ... Next time you come to Philly give me a heads up and we'll feed you right.
