Well I even have that trumped; 20 minutes away from Wash DC - we go to all the museums...free as well as the myriad of other buildings - U.S. Mint, Library of Congress, etc...
Inner Harbor is very cool - great aquarium, science center, and (relatively new) Port Discovery for kids (my son's 8)
Port Discovery
YouTube - Virtual tour of Port Discovery Children's Museum
Then it's off to Philly, 90 minute drive or "Penn Station to Penn Station" to hit Mantattan.
Good point, the Inner harbor is awesome. I go there about 5 times a year when we come up to see the Orioles. But you also have one of the highest crime rates in the country, a mayor that stole from poor people, a corupt police dept., and you let the Colt's get away.
I was at an Orioles game and we stayed at the Marriott at the stadium. I saw a cop walk out in front of a car, the car slammed on it's brakes and was hit in the rear. The cop denied that he was even there. I told the man that I would testify for him, but he never called.
I was headed to an Orioles game, sitiing at a gas station and a gang of thugs jerked a man and pregnant woman off of a motorcyle and proceeded to start kicking them both. They yelled for the owner to call the cops but he said he wasn't getting involved. I was just a kid.
But, we just had a guy kill 8 people about 60 miles from my house. The hold U.S is getting more violent everyday.
Everybody loves something different which is cool. I would go crazy dealing with the traffic everday in Baltimore.

I've got you all trumped. I live about 45 minutes from the most beautiful college campus on the face of the earth, and the home of the now 13 time national championship Crimson Tide football with their new Heisman Trophy.
ROLL TIDE
Roll Tide, man they were good this year. Oh, give me a call at 540-241-1702.
