If he wrote it through Securus, how do you know who was his primary company?

Doubtful, anyone writing 500K is going to write themselves out of business. He could lose a lot and still have a lot left. And even if the business is easily replaced, that means another agent has to find it. And, if the truth be told, there just aren't that many agents out there hunting it. Most are satisfied with writing 50K or less per year.

These people only work in LA LA LAND the LH agent most likely has a team and this is a group effort under his name bet on it still is a nice payday

He gets 80 free leads for every 20k he writes if that matters

True.. but the majority of agents don't do much of it.. Just enough to get by. And, if you are"hunting" by running lead cards only, then most of the LH business you will find are the serial mailers. You will replace those and then when they mail again, someone else will replace you. The majority of the people once they have bought their will says, "Well, that's taken care of" and quit mailing.

Even if you use other methods to find all those wonderful in force LH or Securus policies, you have to get in the house. A good number of the policyholders, probably a huge majority, will see no need to talk to another insurance agent. They have it "taken care of".

Can they be replaced if you get in the house with an open minded prospect? Yes. easily. But when it comes right down to it, a guy writing 400K -500K per year is not going to loose enough that he is not making a very good living.

I've heard of two agents that have ever written over $400,000 ap from their own pen. One of them did it one time. The other does it regularly.

Never heard of one doing $500,000 ap. Where do you find these people?

I forget the guy's name from Securus. But he wrote a bit over 500k and then disappeared. I believe you asked Tim W. if that agent was legit and he responded in the affirmative.

They only focus their persistency on checking account business. So, they will tell you 80 plus percent. Their persistency on direct express is less than 20 and savings is around 50 to 60. (7th month)

I always liked how the managers showed numbers about exactly what you said, but I would sure like to even see how many agents are still there after 6 months and how many policies are still on the books after even 3-6 months. Just curious on those numbers.
