True Stage

Yes the death benefit is guaranteed but there can be an assessment that comes out of the death benefit and it has happened . Actually royal acrum got in trouble 8-10 yrs ago as I recall . I don't know if they put any assessments on the death benefit payouts . Your correct there's no money in the state guaranty fund . But it's an unwritten guarantee that no company will be allowed to renege on a death benefit . CO's will band together to make sure there paid as it will destroy the integrity of the whole industry . Just like a money market mutual fund has no fdic protection. But nobody will ever lose principle in one period . Even if the govt has to print $ to back it .

They cannot assess the death benefit. And no company has ever even tried to asses the death benefit. Because they can't.

The government will never back the state guaranty fund. There is no legislation on the books in any state to back that fund. Again, that's why it's illegal to present it as such. Agents can, and have, lost their license by claiming that the state guaranty fund is law.

FU is simplified issue too.

How many FE agents on this forum that actually actively write on a consistent basis talk FU when they are running lead cards ?

This forum is about dead. I think me,you, and Don are the only agents pounding the pavement. The rest seem to be posers, trolls, marketers, lurkers.

Do the Orca,Bankers,LH,SL agents on the street running FE lead cards quote, write FU regularly for the FE market ?

I rarely run across FU in the field. So I would say no. I came into the FE world from the FU world so I've always been comfortable with FU. I'm submitting 3 FU applications right now.

You are correct that there are almost no producers posting at these forums now. Not FE producers anyway. Many of the posters in the FE forum have never written even one FE application.

I've written a few Rna fu . But I've never run into one in in the street. I'm in a few Medicare and fe Facebook groups .There's some sharp people on the sites especially the Medicare site . None of us know everything .

Im part of a tight nit group . We're always bouncing ideas from marketing to phone and door knocking techniques . For instance I saw about a yr ago a technique colt mccoy uses at the door .I tried it and works great . Somebody other the the card comes to the door . Instead of saying " is Mary here " say " I'm here to see Mary " . The person at the door immediately thinks you have an appt and will get them . If they did further I say " Mary contacted our office and asked us to come out and get her information on state benefits she might qualify for " . They'll usually get them then . But more so it's not what you say as in as much as how you say it . Using different voice levels and saying it with confidence is huge .

Does it seem like more agents are turning to telesales ?
Is your agency contacting more field agents or telesales agents ?
What kind of future do you see for FE field agents ? Are we going to die off ?
Will telesales,direct sales,internet sales eliminate us ?

It doesn't seem to me like more agents than ever are turning to telesales. It seems like always to me. Agents try telesales on their way out of the business. Or try MA order taking on their way out.

I don't have an agency. So I don't contract either. FEX is a face to face IMO. There's a few FEX agents selling by phone but we rarely hear from them.

The future is now. There's always going to be a place a for face to face in the FE arena. Just like there's still a place for the debit agent today. Our people are old school. That may change one day? But not in our generation.

No. Those only help our business. There's nothing better than talking to someone in person that bought by phone, mail or internet. I love those people! I especially love FE telesales agents. I wish there more of them. They aren't competitors. They are premium finders.

From what i can see fe telesales is exploding . I'm on many facebook groups and tons switching from face to face to telesales . Covid started the migration and it's accelerating .In the last 2 yrs carriers have come out with new eapps very easy to use over the phone. For instance you can do telesales with moo, accendo, trinity,am am ,liberty bankers ,prosperity ,trans .Outside Kskj being 20% under the mkt some of these are in the better pricing category .I got many contracts with one life and some of their top fe agents are mostly telesales . Many agents just get tired of the driving grind year in yr out . I'm definitely looking at some telesales next yr . Thinks are changing and agents must change .

Tons of our clients are now on facebook . Their filling out ads on facebook. Postage cost are rising and will continue rising . If fixed cost direct mail gets to $45-$50 it will lose its attractiveness . I avoided change for a long time . For instance i never had a crm before . Its made my life so much easier. I'm now learning how to generate my own facebook leads.Everyone decides what's right for them .There will always be face to face . I sell 10-15 medicare/fe weekly knocking on peoples doors. Hell you tell outside people you knock on doors for a living and they can't believe thats still around. I bet in the last 10 yrs 2 people have knocked on my door to sell something .In the end if you have the drive and passion you can succeed in whatever way you want to sell.

Right. All the Facebook warriors writing $300K a year in their spare time while building a team. :1wink:

But you never see any of them on company trips. You talk to companies and they have never heard of those agents.

So where are they placing the business?
