True Stage

Right. All the Facebook warriors writing $300K a year in their spare time while building a team. :1wink:

But you never see any of them on company trips. You talk to companies and they have never heard of those agents.

So where are they placing the business?

Many of those agents use 5-7 co's routinely . Doug Massey would disagree with you . He said he's got ton's of guys doing $150-$400k telesales . Masseys now a telesales shop . He had a former 15 yr face to face guy on his podcast doing $50k a month on his telesales platform .95% of his videos the last yr telesales .I know a guy 100% telesales the last 5 plus yrs doing $250k total a yr . Lead cost obviously higher with transfers .Is Jeff Root lieing saying he has all these guys doing big #'s? Hell even Ken Sutton on here claims he does $25-$35k a month . Are they all lieing ?

But i do understand what your saying . 1000 agents say they do $200k a yr. But we know only a very very very few do that . Had a guy try to recruit me on facebook the other day. He lives near me and he does"$200k" a yr . Lol . One of the top fe agents in the country is my good friend . Nobody knows him . He sells 10 co's . He's makes kskj's trip every yr. He makes moo's and am am's trips but doesn't go . He's a lone wolf and likes it that way . He gets on no social media .

Most are lying, yes.

Some are not and you know who they are.

The companies know who they are.

The rest have their picture on milk cartons.

I've written a few Rna fu . But I've never run into one in in the street. I'm in a few Medicare and fe Facebook groups .There's some sharp people on the sites especially the Medicare site . None of us know everything .

Im part of a tight nit group . We're always bouncing ideas from marketing to phone and door knocking techniques . For instance I saw about a yr ago a technique colt mccoy uses at the door .I tried it and works great . Somebody other the the card comes to the door . Instead of saying " is Mary here " say " I'm here to see Mary " . The person at the door immediately thinks you have an appt and will get them . If they did further I say " Mary contacted our office and asked us to come out and get her information on state benefits she might qualify for " . They'll usually get them then . But more so it's not what you say as in as much as how you say it . Using different voice levels and saying it with confidence is huge .

I like that.

Postage cost are rising and will continue rising . If fixed cost direct mail gets to $45-$50 it will lose its attractiveness .
Don't understand that. If a person buys 20 leads per week and sells $3K, then with 85% or so persitency, they make $3K.. If their lead cost goes up by $200 per week, they are going to quit using DM? Don't think so. I have seen DM cost in the past 10 years or so go up by at least $10 per lead and the ones that were making a living using DM are still using DM. I can't speak for JD but I would be willing to bet that if his DM cost went to $45 he would continue to but the same amount he does today.

I should have specified the avg agent buying . 30-50 leads a week . Also add in $300-$400 a month for gas and $300 a month for maintenance due to wear and tear on the car . Also Jd being in the business so long gets a ton of referrals that cost nothing . My avg Medicare lead would cost around $54 if it were fixed cost . Winners win no matter what .

I'd hate to be in the southeast trying to get on fixed cost Dm right now.

Some of the costs are in excess of $59 a lead currently.

What do you think is causing that? I don't think there's been a large influx of new FE agents doing DM drops. Maybe less demand for FE? I know Sr Life is generating FE DM leads that have "final expenses" in the 1st sentence on the card and "life insurance" in the 3rd sentence on the card for $31/lead in most states and $37/lead in a few other states.

Would like to hear opinions from others too.

Senior select who had rgi locked up in Ga at one time is doing fixed cost at around $35 that say life ins .I was getting rgi for around $34 a lead sc .But they use the lead that says "govt". I'm sure the true cost of a fe lead in ga around $60 -$90 each . The fmo is subsidizing it .

Increase lead cost just be you need to cross sell a few extra apps a week.

cancer plans, hip coverage, ma/sup. Plenty to choose from but as costs rise so do you to the challenge.
