WellCare Fiasco

Do any other carriers in the midwest have close to $0 plans for people on generics or not taking any meds?
Agents can't discuss this with you until Oct 1.

If you have a printed Indiana Medicare and You for 2025, you can see the names of Indiana PDP plans for 2025 and their premiums.

I am still in disbelief that a company can stop paying renewals like WellCare has on their PDP policies , ethically it is Wrong and to justify it by having a "contract" that can term basically at anytime when they choose is complete BS . If you look at the scenario playing out how is it not headline news, they literally took our customers ,our seniors and are going to cross sell us and not even pay us for doing it . And where is the representation , where's the outcry besides a rant here and there I see nothing being done . All I see is a petition on change.org from HAFA , what a joke . No solutions in sight at the moment. What really can be done ?
Same here. We live in the Twilight Zone. I mean, I could draw up a contract that says I'm allowed to punch my employees in the face everyday at 2:00pm, for 1 minute, but that's still not right and it's literally illegal. Last time I checked, stealing peoples money/wages that they earned was illegal. No difference. Battery is battery. Theft is theft. Both are illegal. Contrary to popular belief, just because something is in a contract, that doesn't mean it's the final word, or hell, even legal. Contracts are challenged and overridden all the time. It's also not like we have a choice not to sign and to disagree to it. Everything in this industry is forced and under duress of not getting paid.

I feel bad for the agents who have a TON of Wellcare pdp who thought they'd just roll them off of Wellcare to save their commissions, only to have a majority of their clients stay because of the zero premium plan. I've already temporarily lost 3 because of that (all three had supps through retirement) . I told them when Wellcare dumped the plan next year because they can't possibly afford to keep it, to get back in touch with me. What else can I do? I had one lady tell me to enroll her in something else because she won't do business with a company like that and she said their customer service sucked anyway.

I dumped Wellcare two years ago, and I'll never consider going back. The few I have left, I'm working on rolling over, both ma and pdp, where I can without putting my clients in something worse. I know I can roll my mapd clients, but the pdp is another story. I'm just glad I don't have very many.

I don't have a ton of MAPD's with them, but so far I've got 8 people that I'll be moving to another company on the 15th. Believe me, they'll be paying DEARLY for this unethical and felonious move for the rest of time. Agents have a LONG memory and don't appreciate having their livelihood threatened.

My Wellcare PDP in FL will still be $0 premium but my Farxiga is now a Tier 3 25% of cost. I am paying $11 a month after the deductible but in 2025 I will pay about $150. With a 2.5% COLA I am going to be in the hole.

Uhc PDP $92 month plus $47 copay until July. Then pay zero the rest of the year.

Edit : nevermind. I thought it was a $1k drug. It's "only" $600

according to S&S, the UHC plan does still offer a savings of $400/yr, assuming no other variables

there's always MAPD. depending on where you live in Florida you can cut the cost by as much as 97%
